The furry hosts are so cute and friendly (Ranger and Bailey, you’re good boys!!) and kayaking on the giant lake is a blast! Having Raven Rock in the same building is a triple bonus. Highly recommend!!”

“Delicious food for both breakfast and lunch! We especially enjoyed the grilled cheese sandwich, omelette, and homemade soups. Our toddler daughter loved her pancakes, too! Highly recommend visiting the South of the Border Cafe whenever you're in Grand Marais.”

“It was not a cheap place to eat, but it was worth the price. The staff was great, the view was great, the atmosphere was welcoming and great, and the food was AMAZING! As was the mulled wine.

I was here in the off season. No outdoor seating because of the cold, but also no crowd and no waiting to be seated. The food came out fast. The tip is figured in to the price on the menu and you can tip more if you like.”
