“Incredible scratch made food served by rad folks. Our group split the zombie fries, Reuben tots, and fried green tomatoes. The kimchi and kraut were top notch. Sauces and mayos were nicely balanced and full of flavor. Highly recommended!”
“We stopped here for lunch. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our family enjoyed dining here. We ended up going back later that afternoon to pick up some smoked salmon for a snack our way home. Good portions!!”
“Great food truck with delicious and healthier meal options. Enjoyed some smoothies before our hike. Would like to return to try the bowls next time I am passing through the area. Definitely swing by.”
“The ONLY thing I don’t like is how far away Voyageur is from where I live. But they can’t help that, so I go there anytime I get up to Grand Marais. Staff is friendly, the food is amazing, and it’s a very welcoming space.”
“A small, homey-feeling cafe with great food! It was quiet on a weekday morning & the staff greeted me as soon as I entered the establishment. Gives off the feel of eating breakfast at home on a Saturday morning. The potatoes with cheese & onions were 10/10. Cash or check only, so make sure you have either on hand (otherwise the Holiday Station directly across the street has an ATM). Highly recommend this charming little cafe!”
“1.) HANDS DOWN THE BEST cheese curds.2.) Large portion sizes.3.) Burger cooked according to my request.4.) Fries perfectly cooked and seasoned (I like crispy and not too salty).5.) A handful of fun food options (we had duck cream cheese wontons-yum)6.) Beer selection is decent, not great.7.) It’s a counter service pub. Staff is friendly but they don’t wait on you. Service was quick but they weren’t busy. You place your own order, get your own water, etc. They bring your food out when it’s ready, but they will never come back to check in or ask how it was.8.) Atmosphere is fairly divided… patio option, dining, and bar. Multiple tvs. Fun and chill place to watch Vikes. Family friendly.”
“This place was probably my favorite place to stop and eat. Food was way more filling than gun flint tavern. Prices are about the same. I was stuffed needles to say. Service was super polite and there right away. Would stop here every time I go up there.”
“Despite stopping at the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon, it was not very busy. The staff were very friendly, and the food was prepared quickly. The food was very good, and the serving sizes were large.”
“I have really looked forward to sharing this review because the ladies working together at this store are a hilarious and fun bunch. It made my order experience so lighthearted and welcoming. Food was really good too!Thank you for your kindness and for the laughter!Parking: Yes, Grand Marais can get busy, and parking can get tricky, but as long as you know that entire part of town is like that, you just do the best you can. It is popular for good reason!”
“Harbor Light is a casual bar that knows who they are and they do it well. If you're looking for an artisan meal costing you $40/plate, this isn't it. If you're looking for a good burger, a drink, and a lowkey bar atmosphere, this is the place. Prices are reasonable, portions are big. Darts, pool, and TV with multiple sports channels available too. Try it, you'll like it.”
“Stopped at their truck at North Shore Winery. We had the Bacon Cheeseburger & the Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich (mayo & pepperjack). Really tasty! Would definitely have them again!”
“After years of visiting Grand Marais this was my first visit, for lunch. I am a fried chicken fanatic, and they're broasted chicken was phenomenal as was the gravy on the home sale mashed potatoes. The iceberg lettuce garnish could have been saved.Parking: I was there on a Tuesday, somewhat off season, late fall, so parking was easy. Even in busy times, there are plenty of parking in free Lots a short walk away”
“My favorite restaurant in Grand Marais! They have fresh local seafood, incredible salads and you cannot BEAT the view from the restaurant. It’s a bit on the nicer/more expensive side but great for a nice dinner out (and they’re kid friendly too!)”
“We enjoyed our pizza that came recommend to us! The art festival was going on and they were short staffed, but the pizza and cheese bread were amazing and so worth the drive!”
“Get the root beer float, it was top 3 in my life! Also the service was amazing. We had a larger group and our server was very helpful. For example we had a baby that needed to have a bottle warmed up and when I asked for a cup of warm water, she brought a small bucket which worked way better.Definitely would come back!”
“We travel with our dog so outdoor seating is a must. I ordered two sundaes and a pup cup. Declined a receipt so I have no idea the name of the nice young man in a do-rag that outdid himself for my pet. Thanks, man!”
“While up in Grand Marais, this was the place we would stop every morning for coffee. The view of the lake is beautiful, and the interior is so close to deep Alaska, Northern MN feel. Service is awesome, and honestly, some of the best coffee I've ever had. Highly recommend this place.”
