Delicious food. Very nice comfortable atmosphere with a hot plate of food after some Boundary Waters adventures and misadventures.
Yummy pizza after we took a long walk around
We enjoyed our pizza that came recommend to us! The art festival was going on and they were short staffed, but the pizza and cheese bread were amazing and so worth the drive!

Based on the reviews, Sven & Ole's Pizza is an iconic place in Grand Marais and a quintessential North Shore MN spot. It has been serving up legendary pies for decades, and you can taste that tradition in every slice. The pizza is fantastic, with incredible thin crust options like the Uffdah Zah, and a delicious thick crust with pepperoni, onion, and mushrooms that was hot with fresh ingredients and outstanding cheese. The chicken bacon ranch was delicious. Due to short-staffing, there may be a long line and a 40-minute wait, but it is worth it. The restaurant has a good dining area and bathrooms. The staff is great, and one young gentleman kept up good spirits with rude customers. The garlic cheese bread was the star of the show.
