Delicious food for both breakfast and lunch! We especially enjoyed the grilled cheese sandwich, omelette, and homemade soups. Our toddler daughter loved her pancakes, too! Highly recommend visiting the South of the Border Cafe whenever you're in Grand Marais.
Reviews had us looking forward to breakfast. What a disappointment !!! I had sausage, eggs and 1 pancake. Wife had oatmeal. No fruit on menu nor any offered by waitress. Wife not happy. My 2 sausage patties were extremely hard, very dry and overcooked. Maybe yesterday's leftover. Eggs and pancake on the cold side. Pancake tasteless. Why do restaurants think all items must be served at same time at risk of letting food get cold? This definitely not a Diner style eatery.
