“This is not the best place for donuts, but it is iconic and currently the only bakery. However, a new bakery is being built a few buildings down. This should prove interesting! A MUCH better choice for donuts and pastries is Toby's in Hinckley, Mn.“
“A small, homey-feeling cafe with great food! It was quiet on a weekday morning & the staff greeted me as soon as I entered the establishment. Gives off the feel of eating breakfast at home on a Saturday morning. The potatoes with cheese & onions were 10/10. Cash or check only, so make sure you have either on hand (otherwise the Holiday Station directly across the street has an ATM). Highly recommend this charming little cafe!“
“This place was probably my favorite place to stop and eat. Food was way more filling than gun flint tavern. Prices are about the same. I was stuffed needles to say. Service was super polite and there right away. Would stop here every time I go up there.“
“We did not stay at the lodge. We were among the few outside diners. Each night a specific dish of the day is served. The food is good but the dining room is the dazzling star of the show.Nearby activities: Wonderful hikes nearby. Incredible views of Superior. The best beach anywhere for collecting rocks.“
“This place has great beer and food (the Ruben egg rolls were recommended by our server and they did not disappoint) but I do have one criticism, THEY HAVE NO NA BEER OPTIONS. Their NA options are basically root beer, soda or lemonade. I really like this place, one of my favorite breweries in MN, but i feel like they need to get with the times and provide at least one NA beer option“
