“What a lovely place on the beach! Get on the wait list for your meal early, and bring your sweater to enjoy a spot on the deck!! The food was amazing and the specials had local fish to try. Staff were so friendly and their front end lady was so friendly and kind to my children! The outdoor beach area with a drink while you wait is lovely! You've got to try it here, no regrets, and hope to be back! Purchased a few little souvenirs and we love them!“

“Good service even though there was a breakfast rush. Nice atmosphere. Average food at best. We had a Denver omelet and Belgian waffle. Omelet was ok but the cook left out the ham. The waffles were below par, hard and served barely warm (butter wouldn’t melt on them).“

“Spent a week on the Gunflint and ended up at Trail Center for 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners and for milkshakes. Food was good, decent portion sizes. We had Swedish meatballs, broiled walleye (giant fillets), burgers, pancakes French toast and I’m sure I’m missing something. Get the pumpkin syrup, share the pancake & watch out for the butter on your toast 😉.
If you time it right, 9 am sharp or 4pm for dinner, space likely won’t be an issue.“
