Great experience at Birch Terrace Supper Club
Located in an historic mansion with overlooking Grand Marais harbor. Had a view of the Hjordis sailing ship arriving into port. The service was excellent and food prepared well.
It is a supper club within a 100 year old mansion so the menu reflects that. So, vegan and vegetarian selections may be limited

The Birch Terrace Supper Club is a charming and historic establishment in an adorable, quaint 100+ year old building with an old-style supper club ambiance. It offers excellent food, including flavorful smoked brisket, a delicious Reuben sandwich, well-prepared walleye dinner, great soup, and mac and cheese. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a very Up North dining room that feels like Grandma’s house. The service is attentive, though not always the friendliest, and the libations are inexpensive but potent. Live music in the summer adds to the fun. The building could use some TLC and may not be up to code, but the decor is loved by many. With beautiful views of the bay and patio, this iconic place—where the governor of Minnesota once signed legislation—is a local gem worth visiting for its delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Parking is gravel.
