We were very excited to find this gem on the way up the Gunflint Trail! We had the breakfast sandwiches, they were delicious and filling. For drinks, we had a mocha, Chai tea latte and normal lattes with some added flavors and all were very good. We grabbed some coffee beans for at home too. Happy to know this place is open and will definitely be back on our next trip!

It’s a small and cozy little joint, but the staff are wonderful and brighten up your day just as much as the caffeinated beverage of your choosing. Not to mention the absolutely amazing and delicious baked goods. The croissant dough of anything is so soft, crisp and buttery! I’m not a fan of cinnamon rolls, but those cardamom rolls are absolutely amazing!

We were camping on the gunflint trail and in search of a coffee place that was even remotely near by. Loon’s Nest coffee was an absolute delight and a nice pick me up in between north shore adventures. Their cardamon rolls were amazing and something I’ll be looking back on until I can come back and visit!!!

Absolutely worth the drive up from Grand Marais. Excellent coffee, great atmosphere, a must visit! Coffee and grilled cheese were exceptional.
