Brewed Awakenings is my go to place for coffee. They have wonderful homemade muffins and their monster cookies and ginger snaps are my go to grab when bringing treats. A great place to meet up with friends.
Coffee and breakfast burrito top notch. Service friendly and welcoming. Hip relaxing decor. Delightful spot. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience at Brewed Awakenings - I ordered a well-prepared latte and a delicious linzer torte muffin. Next time I'm in the area I would definitely drop in for a larger meal as the food options looked really good.

We stopped here for breakfast and some specialty coffee after a stay in Grand Rapids on a cool Sunday morning. Wow! It is a beautiful, quaint coffee shop with some unique options for breakfast. The coffee was excellent and much better than the mass produced Caribou or Starbucks coffee. My wife and I sat, ate our breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito, and played cards for nearly 2 hours while enjoying the wall art and the many people coming and going enjoying their breakfasts. Definitely recommend stopping here over the national coffee chains.

everything was amazing! I had a latte that was made to perfection, a turkey sandwich on sourdough with a chipotle sauce that was flavorful and had the perfect amount of fresh greens for crunch, and a homemade monster cookie. I would go out of my way to stop here again. I absolutely loved everything about it from the outside curb appeal to the friendly people putting it all together – the experience was everything I hoped for. For me there’s no comparison to finding a place committed to making fresh from scratch food—loved it.
Dietary restrictions: everything is made fresh to order so I’m guessing you can pretty much cater to anyone’s specific dietary needs.
Parking: when we came, there was lots of parking right on the street outside outside the front doors.

Stopped in for a treat. Found a giant gingersnap & chocolate gelato delicious. Coffee was fresh & strong. Definitely NOT a chain!

The menu had a lot of vegetarian options which I loved. Everything was homemade and that makes a huge different!
Loved the bowls! Fresh, good amount and tasty.
There are many baked goods for dessert too.
There are also some good ceramics one can buy.
I struggled to see the prices for things on the menu, so that made it hard to plan my money spending, so that is something I suggest could be helpful.
Toilets on site and many seating areas. Also some board games for access for some fun times.
Vegetarian options: Lots of options and clearly labelled!
Parking: Plenty of spots
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

Strong bitter coffee and too vegan friendly and tree huggy for me. The Gelato makes it worth the stop though.

Shout out to brewed awakenings....I am traveling today and decided I was going to stop and treat myself before the long day. Besides just always knowing my order when I walk in door, the owners presence is such a breath of fresh air, chit chating about my trip....truly just started my morning/trip off right and wanted to express thanks! ALSO my iced oatmilk americano with sugar-free caramel syrup is probably one of the best coffees I've had in a long time!!!!??
Have a lovely Tuesday everyone!

I recently discovered this amazing local coffee shop in Grand Rapids. The quality of the coffee is outstanding, and their breakfast options are simply fantastic. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone visiting Grand Rapids.

Coffee was very average. But, the frittata was definitely the low point. I imagine the car tires would have been less rubbery and very possibly more tasty.
Bakery is incredible. Buy whatever’s fresh out of the oven.

This is such a cute place in the heart of Grand Rapids! The atmosphere and staff were exceptional! I would recommend the iced late and banana bread! Lots of seating inside too.
