We ordered two rib sandwiches, which came with beans and a side of your choice (we did the smoked mac and cheese). It was a five-star meal, or more like three five-star meals… as Chad’s portions are so generous that we stretched the meal across a late lunch, “second dinner,” and lunch the next day! We picked up our meal while he was at Klockow Brewery and we were traveling between Scenic State Park and Savanna Portage State Park. The food made for an *excellent* post-hike lunch the next day heated up over the camp stove. Mixed the meat and the mac and cheese together. Loved the beans, so sweet and savory I licked my plate clean!

Chad .. thanks for taking of us cyclists from the campground! We chose the ribs and Mac cheese and wow were they good! If You like Q then you need to check out Chads meat wagon! The folks in GR are lucky!

Nice BBQ spot tucked inside the VFW - it's not a standalone shop or food truck or anything. Service was good despite being very busy for bar bingo. Food came out fast and was tasty - the ribs were tender and smoky, and the pulled pork was very flavorful as well. The pricing was a little odd for meals vs a la carte pricing, and we ended up with more sides than we ordered, but everything was pretty dang good. The fries were the only real disappointment as they were a little overcooked, but everything else was a nice surprise.

I've been going to the wagon for years and went to visit their new VFW location and I absolutely loved it. The food is amazing and always super filling with some to spare! The whole staff are super friendly as well. I recommend it to everyone I know :)
