Food is generally good but I thought the prices were a little high. I've been happy with the dinner menu but was disappointed with a Philly cheese steak I ordered my last visit. The cheese looked and tasted like something out of a squeeze bottle rather than cheese slices. Most of it simply dripped out before I could eat it.

The first time I went I thought highly of the place. This time I called 10 minutes after they opened on a Wednesday and they were not able to accommodate 2 people at any point the rest of the evening. Between the two bars, two dining rooms and patio seating I found that very disappointing. I might be back in the future but this experience definitely hurt my opinion of the place.

My family and I just ate here tonight for the first time and we all really enjoyed it. The service and food was great as well. We loved our waiter Brian, he was awesome and actually took the small amount of time he could to interact with our son. He also took the time to get the answers to any of our questions regarding drinks and everything. We will definitely be back and hope to have him as our waiter again!!!! Thank you!!

We've been here several times since you opened in 2019 and we've always have been happy with our food and service! We've had pizza, shrimp tacos, burgers, and salads recently, all delicious. We hoped to get takeout tonight but see you're closed until spring ... we'll excitedly be awaiting your reopening! You are our favorite restaurant here in the Walker/Hackensack area!
My wife and I were expecting food more in line with a cabin county dinner club but found food preparation that would have fit in at a minneapolis neighborhood bistro. The menu has a good variety of options at a variety of prices. We had take out pizza the first night of our vacation and were pleased by the scratch made crust and quality ingredients. We ate in the restaurant on our second trip and were very pleased by the space between tables and care that the staff were showing with masks and cleaning. The food was nice, we had a starter of calamari that was done properly with a light crust and was cooked just until tender. For the main course my scallops were well seasoned and cooked just enough for flavor while still firm and sweet. The truffle risotto was creamy and delicious. My wife's walleye was done perfectly and the pistachio crust on top added texture and flavor. Her wild rice was cooked to a wonderful texture. We finished with a very satisfying tiramisu that we shared.Prices were low for the quality of food and the cocktails were well made and served quickly. The wine list is basic but well chosen and priced right

The Headwaters is a gem in Northern Minnesota. The food here is outstanding along with the atmosphere. We order the seafood pizza every time to share and it never disappoints. I usually stick to seafood when I visit as the quality is always spot on. Great cocktails and an extremely friendly staff. Worth checking out even if it’s a bit of a drive!

Short staffed and it shows. Service was abrupt and rude, and we were made to feel like we were an afterthought. Two servers and a cook appeared to be the only people working in the place. No bartender, no host, no one to bus tables. Manager/owner? was particularly abrasive. Seemed to be annoyed by any request we made. Spoke very fast and was difficult to understand and became agitated when we couldn't understand him. Great space with tons of potential in a great locat

place is beautifully decorated and very clean. We have been here twice and looking forward to going back. Ours drinks and food were both very good and unique. Our waiter this last trip there was so very helpful and he made our evening there very enjoyable!!

As a frequent visitor to a family's cabin at Ten Mile Lake, we decided to try this restaurant instead of going into the little town of Hackensack. What a lovely place!This place is outside town on beautiful Ten Mile Lake.Clean and comfortable and the staff was very nice.We ordered our food and it didn't take long for it to be served and it was delicious. It's a little bit expensive for a place up north but totally worth it! I'm glad to have a nice choice of restaurant when wanting to have a special meal and dining experience.
