Food is really good. We had their fish fry. The fish and sides were really good. The tarter was really bland. So, nothing to really complain about. The service was fantastic and they were beyond busy. For even came out in a short time. They do take reservations and I highly recommend it. Very popular place with great people.

Enjoyed a nice Sunday afternoon at Dan's. The weekend special was a Brisket Grilled Cheese. Just an outstanding sandwich! Should be a permanent menu item! Great service, as always. Looking forward to some warmer weather so we can enjoy the deck!

If you live anywhere near the New Trier area, a visit to Dan's is a must. We have never had a bad experience at Dan's. It really does feel like home. We look forward to visiting every Thursday night (and occasionally on a few other evenings)! This is truly a hidden gem!

Visited our regular Thursday night spot for two additional days this week. Had the fish fry on Friday and the the weekend special on Saturday. Chef D never fails to deliver! The Lent menu is phenomenal. And the staff is the best in the business. From the kitchen staff, to the servers, to the host, and at the bar, we always feel welcome and well taken care of. Kudos to the entire staff, including the owners. WE LOVE THIS BAR!
Burgers are delicious, and the service is excellent! Also, the Bloody Mary I had hit the spot.

We had the fish fry. Not as good as it used to be. Price has gone up. Not worth the drive from Apple Valley . Very noisy in the bar The acoustic tiles that were installed don't seem to have done much.

Nice place! Clean, bright enough, but still with atmosphere. First time there, drawn by the Friday fish fry (all you can eat). Great value and some of the best fish we've had! Light batter complements the Icelandic cod (and not oily/greasy at all). Hand-cut fries had great seasoning, soups were flavorful (wife had beer cheese, I had clam chowder). We will be returning to select from the regular menu - it had a lot of interesting options.

This is an amazing gem that is worth the drive! I love the friendly service that makes you feel right at home. There is a spacious dining area and open room that is shared with the bar. The noise level and acoustics are really good considering a full dining area. You can enjoy video games and a jukebox in the bar. A lovely outdoor deck with bar area is available 12 months out of the year with enclosed igloos during the winter. There is a food special every night of the week and wide menu full of delicious options the drink menu is also A++ with great beer, wine and cocktails.

Great food and service. Appetizer: Korean BBQ lettuce wraps. Main course: wife had shrimp tacos and onion rings, I had stuffed cream cheese wonton burger. Everything was great!
