What a wonderful surprise stop for lunch today! The kitchen accommodated my dietary request and the service was wonderful. The nachos or made the right way, with melted cheese and light and crispy chips. Thank you so much!

Excellent food and service !
This is our favorite restaurant bar none in Hastings!! They have the BEST food. It doesn't matter what you order and ask about their spicy salsas, unbelievable unique flavor. Highly recommended!!! (I'm the Chiropractor from St. Paul Park who was just brought the family in.)
Kid-friendliness: Very friendly staff that always goes above and beyond.

Small Mexican restaurant in downtown Hastings. Overall the food was tasty.
We really liked the chaco tacos (mexican tacos with cheese, meat, onions and cilantro), the carne asada and the beans. Another highlight of this place are the homemade tortilla chips. Unfortunately the salsa was too spicy for us and the queso not very tasty. When we asked about the desserts they said the kitchen was already closed ( 8.15pm on a Friday night), so we could not try any.

What a wonderful gem in downtown Hastings. The food was full of flavor; even the rice and beans. The salsa and chips are the best we’ve tasted around the cities. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was not overdone. The food was served on beautiful painted plates that fit the ambiance of the restaurant perfectly.

I would say that this place is always a great experience but since there is no email to contact the manager about this one time experience I suppose I will post it here which I don’t like doing. It was from today 7/13 at 11:00 when we got there.
My reason for posting is just so the person who cooked my food will not do this ever again for anyone else.
I was eating (everything was amazing as usual) and then I hurt my tooth on a pebble. I wish I took a picture before I had the waitress see it because she took it and said she would ask about it and returned explaining that they “had nothing like that back in the kitchen.” Well I assume a pebble would be on the ground from someone’s shoe. So it seems as if one of your cooks dropped food and picked it up off the ground. I did not eat after that. They took it off my tab which is better than the initial discount they offered but this was still a horrible experience and now my tooth is bothering me. So please speak to all cooks working at that time because other than this your food has been great.

Taken with the simple yet artistic look of the restaurant. I had Lengua street tacos. It wasn't on the menu, but they were happy to make them. It was delicious and overflowing with meat!
The generous portion of chips and salsa were incredibly fresh. I just happened in here while on a girl's trip along the Mississippi. It was a delight. The staff were friendly and quick to respond.
Vegetarian options: One can easily create a delicious vegetarian meal with the wide array of options.
Dietary restrictions: Easy to substitute to work around GF and dairy allergies.

Fantastic. We were here when they first opened several years ago and were not impressed. But now? Awesome! I don't know what happened. We loved it. Great house chips and salsa. Very good house margaritas. Quesadilla was great. No complaints from anyone in our 6 person table!

The carne asada here is the worst steak I’ve had at any restaurant ever. It’s amazing that they even served that. Tasted like rubber and so chewy it was inedible
