For years my father has been buying lefse from Carl's, but I had never visited to see how this bakery makes the quantities it supplies to the area especially during the holiday season. Lefse, the Norwegian excuse for putting butter and sugar together, was a treat made by my grandmother and mother growing up. So every year when we make the trip to the Fargo-Moorhead area we know where to track down lefse to bring home to Ohio. Worth a visit to pick up some for a taste of Norway!
We have stopped in Hawley for decades to get some great lefse every time we come to the F-M area. Never let down!
