The food was not good. I has the chicken piccata - it was overcooked and didn't have a lot of flavor. I had to salt it twice and it has capers! My husband had the short rib lasagna and said it had a bland taste and wasn't really a lasagna, it wasn't really layered. Our friend had the gumbo, again, not a lot of flavor. I had high hopes, there were so many good dishes on the menu. We will not eat here again. Our waitress was great, no issues with service at all.
Love eating here. The menu is small and delicious. It is quiet even when busy with customers.
Everything was perfect, except that Noah wouldn't do a backflip for us ;) Seriously, Noah was awesome, the food was awesome, everything was great as usual!!! Thanks!
They offer a really interesting mix of locally sourced, Minnesota, and nearby food. I really love the variety.
Had the chicken wings first as a barometer to overall experience and they were excellent!! We took our servers suggestions on our dinner orders and all 4 of us were extremely satisfied with our food. Chicken, pasta, and sandwich with chili.
This continues to be a hidden gem. Great food, friendly service, and quiet enough to hear the great table conversation. Can't wait to go back!
We had an excellent meal and great service. We drove from Minneapolis and enjoyed our evening.
I have been to Thirty Bales for breakfast and lunch, but this was the first time for dinner and we will definitely be back. Everyone loved their food and dessert. We all ordered something different and all of it was excellent. Also the presentation was awesome. It was almost too pretty to eat. I highly recommend TB. Thanks for a great night out. Service was excellent as well.
Disappointed in the $17 beet salad Way too much greens and not enough cheese, beets, pecans or salad dressing for my taste
This was my 1rst time at Thirty Bales. I had the Duroc pork chop with Bacon Jam and risotto. The pork was prepared perfectly, and the risotto was tasty as well as the asparagus. We ended the meal with a dessert of apple crisp. This was.a great find, and we will be back.

Brunch on Sunday. I've eaten here before, and it was excellent. First of all, while service was pleasant, it took nearly 40 minutes to get our food. Neither the patio nor the restaurant were by any means full, they must've just been short staffed. Our five-year-old got her kids meal a full 15 minutes before we got our meals. We had sandwiches and soup. The chicken Caesar sandwich was fine, but lacked any real high notes. the chicken wild rice soup had a very odd and stale flavor. Maybe the coconut milk? Definitely not an enjoyable taste -2 of us ordered and didn't eat more than 2 spoonfuls Fun location and we had an excellent dinner here a couple of years ago. But I don't think we'd return.
Incredible service . Pork tacos were huge and delicious! Locally sourced food. Amazing ! Wait staff person was best I have ever had!
Waitress was wonderful. The deep fried deviled eggs were good. The gumbo was just okay and prices were high.
Excellent food and service. I needed a salad with slightly different ingredients and the kitchen was very accommodating.
Food and drinks were exceptional! You can tell the there is a lot of talent in the kitchen. Service was OK - friendly and nice, but nothing out of the ordinary.
