I’ve been eating here for a year or more and I love it everytime. The chorizo queso is fabulous, I get the street taco combo, flour tortillas chicken with rice and beans! Never fails me.

Truthfully, I went here because my two go-to places for Birria tacos were closed that day. The Birria tacos themselves were good!! But unfortunately the consomé was bland in comparison to the other IGH taco places (no meat, onions, cilantro, and it could use some more salt and had chickpeas in it). My partner got the seafood ceviche in the "pico de Gallo" but it's pretty much a tomato sauce. Tasted good but the tomato sauce really overtakes the seafood.

Other than that, the drinks were creative and delicious! I'd recommend people check the place out still.

I used to live just outside of Los Angeles and when I moved to MN I was doubtful I'd find any Mexican places that would be as good as what I was used to. I'm very happy to have been wrong about that; Los Portales has great Mexican food, the service has been great every time I've gone and the atmosphere is either very chill or lively with karaoke or party music. This place is one of my two favorite Mexican food places and the other is also in MN; highly recommend Los Portales if you're looking for solid Mexican food with great service.
