Shiners is right by my house. The sandwiches are pretty good and the soups are great. They have an ok selection of beer (wish they had more local brews) and a full bar. What sets Shiners apart is the service. All the bartenders and kitchen staff will bed over backwards for you. They are all kind and friendly, and will happily chat with you if you sit at the bar. It’s a young crew, so if you’re over the age of 25 you might feel like a dinosaur but they still make you feel welcome. It’s never too loud in there so if you’re not a loud bar person this is the place for you.I highly recommend the chicken wild rice soup. Don’t forget to ask about the sub of the month!Parking: Parking lot is big and there’s plenty of parking on the street or in the vacant lot adjacent. There’s a park next door with street parking but I’ve never seen the lot full except in the peak of summer

Small town sandwich restaurant with GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE! It never disappoints! Best spicy chicken ceaser salad and the subs are outstanding! Highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: If it is nice outside, you can get sandwhiches to go and head across the street to the park.

They charge you a lot of money but don't put all the ingredients on sandwiches and salads. Don't bother buying a drink. They'll give you a really small cup filled with ice and maybe an ounce of liquid. Just go to the gas station across the street to get an adult sized beverage for a lower cost.

Shiners is such an awesome little spot. We visit family in the Pine River/Jenkins area 7-8 times a year and I do everything I can to make sure we work Shiners into our visit each time.I've never had anything but great food here. Super friendly staff and the bar itself is a 10 as well.Looking forward to the next visit!

I’ve always loved shiners for the Queso I use to go there almost every other day just for the queso, I moved away a few months ago and the last 3 times I’ve gotten Queso there it just isn’t the same. It used to be a staple and now it’s not even spicy and you can tell the sauce is no longer homemade it’s very bland. Tastes like they opened a can of Queso and put some jalepenos in it. Not impressed in the slightest. On top of the very bland Queso the family size for 12$ is now the size of the normal. I can’t even imagine how small the normal size is now??♂️

Good food, you have to serve yourself at the bar when ordering.
Fantastic, first time there, it won’t be the last, the young lady that helped us was top of her game. Made a great drink, the chicken chili was out of this world. Nothing could have made my experience better. She made us feel

Stopped I. Our way back from the cabin. First timers. We ordered the Italian Sub sandwich, a bowl of their house chicken wild rice soups and the special soup was white chicken chili. Every was GREAT!! Server was very friendly and answered our questions. I would definitely go back. Really cool atmosphere also.
