A-Pine is great, hearty, family food fare that will stick to your ribs and hit that comfort food spot we all have. Service is great and the atmosphere is that quirky north woods thing that us locals don’t notice and the tourists come to see. “Paul Bunyan’s Favorite Restaurant” is in a neat A-Frame building with a no-fuss, cozy interior. This place is always so good we stopped there on our way home or on our way there to the cabin! The chicken is delicious they have a great breakfast and wonderful lunches. And the waitresses are wonderful, very pleasant and sociable. You can tell they come from that generation!!!

If you are looking for the best pancakes in town, this is the place! Their wild rice omelette was average, will probably try a more staple meal next time we go. The staff was very friendly, very attentive to our coffee as well.
