“We had reservations at 6, shows up 10 minutes early and were seated right away. Service was good. I believe they run short handed like most restaurants. I had the Filet and my wife had the salmon both were great. My wife and I visited a second time, a year apart the night before the Super Bowl. I really wanted to give a great review for our second visit but unfortunately that is not the case this time. We were seated write away, took about 15 minutes for a staff member to come to our table. We arrived at 550pm, at 710 pm is when we were served our meal. The restaurant was busy but there were still open tables. My wife had the walleye and her meal was fine. I had the shrimp scampi and Au Gratin potatoes. My shrimp was way overcooked (for the 5 shrimp you get) and warm. My potatoes were cool to slightly warm. Also they had 4 different servers in our section, I believe this is why we never seen our server being we were the only ones he served in this section. I think it would have made more sense to optimize there servers into sections. Just my opinion, but the 2 ladies I seen working the section were always there. All in all I still would go back, I just wish the food would have been hot after all the time we waited.“
“A-Pine is great, hearty, family food fare that will stick to your ribs and hit that comfort food spot we all have. Service is great and the atmosphere is that quirky north woods thing that us locals don’t notice and the tourists come to see. “Paul Bunyan’s Favorite Restaurant” is in a neat A-Frame building with a no-fuss, cozy interior. Be sure to come before 11 (11:30 on weekends) for their phenomenal breakfast. Now serving mimosas and bloody marys/bloody beers!Parking: Plenty of parking spots in the lot, and lots of other areas to park if the lot is full. Please don’t park in neighbors’ drivewaysKid-friendliness: Cozy family restaurant with lots of big tables. Bring the whole familyWheelchair accessibility: No stairs, accessible entrance with low-velocity automatic button door“
“Went there for the New Years Eve Buffet. Absolutely delicious. Prime Rib made perfectly, crab legs, ribs, chicken, lobster bisque - all so delicious. And a wonderful assortment of excellent desserts. Doesn't get any better. Couldn't be more impressed. Great great job to the kitchen and wait staff.“
“The Old Mil never disappoints. If you did not have a good time, you are the problem! The bartenders, Mary & Debbie are fabulous! The regulars are just as wonderful. Thank you for sharing your fabulous bar with us! The drink is fabulous! Just ask for the “last call”!“
“Great place to eat. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of our questions easily. The food was great and more than you could eat in one sitting.Very friendly place, we will definitely be back.“
“Great food, everything was great! Even with my friend delivering it 20 minutes away. Club, curds, frys, and cheese cake were all made well! I have been a cook 12 years and bites almost never disappoints. if they do they will usually fit it.“
“We were so pleased with our meal here! The cheese curds are some of the best we’ve ever had, splurge and order these for an app! We also got the pork ribeye and cherry bomb burger and both were incredible. Anytime we’re in the area, this will be our first choice!“
“The historical log building will take your breath away, then you will have service second to none, and the food is so delicious you'll be back! Comfortable style, like being home. We're looking forward to sitting on the back deck when the snow melts.“
“Delicious food and great atmosphere. The place was full but not crowded. Our waitress was absolutely the best. She was attentive but not hovering (she was pretty busy!)The caramel roll was to die for and the pancake, egg, and bacon meal was delicious. My son got the western omelette and was absolutely filled to the gills.NOTE: If you want the two pancake meal, just go ahead and order the pancake, egg, and bacon, because you get the eggs extra for the same price!I would definitely recommend Ganley’s for anyone coming through the area.“
“We come here when we have special occasions, or just in the mood for food that makes you get excited. A refreshing change from the steak and potato options in the area, although they have great steaks, as well. The menu is updated often and we’ve never had anything we didn’t love. We are always left raving about what we ate there for days, excited to get back. The wine selection and cocktails are always on point, as well.Kid-friendliness: Unless your children are adventurous eaters and can sit through a meal without getting antsy, I would not recommend bringing them to this intimate dining setting.“
“I put a high value on being able to talk to the others at the table and Antlers has always provided that. We did go with another couple, and both ordered similar items off the menu. Unfortunately the walleye and soup was served somewhere between luke warm and cold. I guess room temeprature would best describe it. Being on Valentines Day, we were dissappointed to not find and special meal for two or even any sort of change to their menu. This restaurant has so much potential and yet they seem to do the same menu over and over again which is a little disappointing.“
“One of my new favorite spots! Their food is absolutely amazing, and great portions for the price. Heard of this place, decided to go, and have already been back 3 more times since. The service has been amazing every time, everyone is so friendly! The atmosphere is very cool as well, can’t wait to go in the summer time to enjoy the patio!“
