A refreshing change from the steak and potato options in the area, although they have great steaks, as well.The menu is updated often and we’ve never had anything we didn’t love. We are always left raving about what we ate there for days, excited to get back. The wine selection and cocktails are always on point, as well.Kid-friendliness: Unless your children are adventurous eaters and can sit through a meal without getting antsy, I would not recommend bringing them to this intimate dining setting.“

“If you want a great meal, stop at Sunshine's Summerhouse! We went on a Friday night and ordered the rib special which was delicious. We also ordered a burger. That was one of the juiciest burgers I have ever eaten. It was so good we went back the next morning for breakfast, and let me tell you the breakfast burrito did not disappoint. It was flavorful and filling. I will definitely go back if I'm in that area again!“

We had a late dinner so it was too dark to enjoy the lake view scenery, but the interior decor was okay - definitely a cabin vibe. Our daughter's basketball team was there for a weekend tournament so we had a very rowdy and large group of 36. Not only did our waitresses flawlessly take our orders, serve our drinks, apps, soups, salads and entrees timely, but she also figured out our separate checks per family despite the fact that the team sat separate from the parents. She deserved that big tip! Here's what we tried: Soft Pretzel Bucket (4/5) $16 HUGE bucket shared by the entire table of 36. Great pretzels and cheese sauce. Didn't try the mustard sauce but I wished for a bit more salt. Swedish Goat Burger (5/5) $17 This sucker lasted me 3 delicious meals! A must try if you like goat cheese and lingonberries (like small cranberries). The caramelized onions and large bacon strips made the burger perfect IMHO. Lobster Bisque Soup (4/5) $4 very flavorful, filling, rich and creamy. I had no detectable slivers of lobster though. Saturday Prime Rib special (5/5) $29 for the large 16 oz portion. Best meal at the table. Everyone's steaks were cooked to order perfectly. The side salad was LARGE and fresh. 3 at our table ordered the Greenie drink since we heard it was their drink specialty. I could feel the alcohol but couldn't taste it. Good lemon-lime flavor but it was SO sweet, it gave us tummy aches. None of us finished the Greenies and we all switched to other drinks. Our daughter and her friend shared the chicken strip bucket and the classic burger. She said both were good but nothing special.“

“For our friends anniversary dinner we chose The Classic Grill. It was recommended to us by Tom at the main clubhouse and our experience surely did not disappoint. All of our meals were above and beyond our expectations. Special call out for the creme brulee and the banana cream cheesecake.Another aspect that we all appreciated was the value for our meals. We felt the same experience in the Twin Cities would have been at least 30% higher in price.We plan to go back when we visit again and jokingly even mentioned we'd drive from the Cities for that value and our experience.“

“My friend and I decided to go to Baxter Bar and Restaurant ( Arrow wood hotel ) . We enjoyed our martinis! Our appetizer was absolutely amazing! Delicious!! Our server and entrees were very good also! Only issue was the music was hard rock and LOUD!! They did finally get some one to turn it down and change the music!! Thank goodness!! “We had reservations at 6, shows up 10 minutes early and were seated right away. Service was good. I believe they run short handed like most restaurants. I had the Filet and my wife had the salmon both were great. My wife and I visited a second time, a year apart the night before the Super Bowl. I really wanted to give a great review for our second visit but unfortunately that is not the case this time. We were seated write away, took about 15 minutes for a staff member to come to our table. We arrived at 550pm, at 710 pm is when we were served our meal. The restaurant was busy but there were still open tables. My wife had the walleye and her meal was fine. I had the shrimp scampi and Au Gratin potatoes. My shrimp was way overcooked (for the 5 shrimp you get) and warm. My potatoes were cool to slightly warm. Also they had 4 different servers in our section, I believe this is why we never seen our server being we were the only ones he served in this section. I think it would have made more sense to optimize there servers into sections. Just my opinion, but the 2 ladies I seen working the section were always there. All in all I still would go back, I just wish the food would have been hot after all the time we waited.“

And a wonderful assortment of excellent desserts. Doesn't get any better. Couldn't be more impressed. Great great job to the kitchen and wait staff.“
“Pet friendly patio was a huge plus which is in part why we chose this place. Ourt server was delightful and made great recommendations and brought us a little pup water bowl along with our waters. Food ordered: Onion rings Macaroni and cheese which is the good old kraft mac n cheese for kiddos. Rigatoni Jambalaya bowl Greek chicken salad with a lot of great vegetables. Green chick peas were tasty. Turkey melt Beet and grapefruit salad. Food selection was pretty decent, but prices were a bit steep. Service was excellent and the deck area was very charming and again, pet friendly which was a huge plus. Great place. Great service!“

“The pasta was so delicious and loved the mushroom Alfredo sauce. A little slice of cornbread served on the side too. Such a great restaurant to stop at along 210. It's tucked away in the woods not at all hard to find but definitely out of the main mall area with mostly chain restaurants. Relaxing place to eat very spotless clean. Hopefully can go there again.“
