“Love this place, eaten here many times for lunch and dinner. Probably my favorite place in the area. Though the other apps are tasty too, I appreciate that they have some great veggie options like the Brussels sprouts and the cauliflower. Both are very good.I enjoy the both the sandwiches and the bigger entrees. Steaks are good too, though the last time we ordered some they were a little on the rare side, but they were nice thick cuts.Also, both the cocktails and the beer are great additions to your meal. Definitely consider getting a growler to take some home, especially if you are entertaining in the summer.Also, the atmosphere is probably the best in the area, just very nicely done.“

“This is a really cool blast from the past gem in downtown Aitkin, Mn. It's like you stepped back to the 50's! And that's a good thing. Elvis and Del Shannon playing on a jukebox in the corner really set the mood. Their burgers are absolutely amazing and made the way you like. Their split pea and ham soup is to die for! They also have frosty shakes and malts made perfectly to top it all off! When you're in the north country, you have to try Big Tom's!“

“We stopped in to the bar at Barnacles to meet friends that were staying on Mille Lacs for ice fishing. The meat raffle happened to be going on so that was a nice added surprise. The guy who runs and moderates the meat raffle is awesome - he is full of energy, does all the work himself, and really makes it a lot of fun (keep him around). The bar itself is nice and big, with plenty of seating. We had a great time!“
“Stopped here on our way through to get a Christmas tree in Isle. What a fantastic find! Super friendly bartender, strong drinks, great game day specials, and a damn good fried chicken special. And oh man, wonderful homemade chunky bleu cheese dressing! We plan to get back asap for their hand pattied burgers! This bar/grill is a true MN gem!“
