“Fabulous little coffee shop! The scones are the best I've ever had - made fresh, moist, interesting flavor selections & seasonal menu options - lavender, pumpkin, chai, banana! The peach scone is my favorite. I highly recommend for those passing through. It's very close to the cottage we are staying at & has a cozy vibe. PS - they have a drive thru & fast service.Vegetarian options: Milk options.”
“Fantastic experience at this small town coffee shop. I'm pretty picky, and downright cynical when it comes to rural coffee, but this place really delivers on a smooth cortado and espresso flavor. It's not overly acidic/sour/light, but also not intensely dark.I was pleasantly suprised that two baristas on different weekend visits immediately understood what a cortado was and everyone was friendly.Purchased a bag of the Black Tiger Espresso to use at home and it's fresh, fragrant and smooth. It would be nice to see a roasted-on date with the packaging however, as that omission gave me some heavy pause. However, the friendly staff convinced me it wasn't a month old or anything.PS. Very much appreciated the hot chocolate remake for my 2yr old who dropped hers outside!”
“The historical log building will take your breath away, then you will have service second to none, and the food is so delicious you'll be back! Comfortable style, like being home. We're looking forward to sitting on the back deck when the snow melts.”
“Great beer served in a very cool building. We loved the photos of local railroad history. The patio and outdoor stage looked really nice, but we visited in February.”
“Staff are always very friendly. The food for me has always been top notch. Very satisfied stopping here for a quick bite to eat. Or to relax and enjoy the atmosphereParking: Spaces fill up quickly when busy”
“Great place to try wine and relax. Service was friendly. The environment was fun and perfect for a glass of wine. Didn't try the food yet from what I saw it looked wonderful.”
“My husband and I went there today. The portion size was massive and the ice cream delicious. When we told him that my husband's name was Glenn, he gave him his ice cream for free. That was awesome. We will be back.”
“Classic diner/community hub. Two lunch visits a few days apart. We decided they earned our newest habit...stop there for lunch annually to/from our Up North cabin stay. Thanks, Ganley's!”
“Dyana completely blew us away - she did florals for our small backyard wedding and I still can’t believe how she absolutely nailed our vision. If you’re looking for wedding florals, she is absolutely your gal!!!”
“Vegetarian options: Veggie delight can be made into a salad or made as a Sub!Parking: Shared parking with other businesses but I've seen tour busses and school busses navigate through without incidentKid-friendliness: Kids meals are a great! Choice of a variety of kids sandwiches, comes with cookie, chips or applesauce. A fountain drink, bottled drink, juice or milk, and there's always a kids activity included.Wheelchair accessibility: Two separate wheel chair accessible entrances at this plaza.”
“An excellent fine dining experience! The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. The Filet Mignon was a perfect medium rare. The carefully crafted cocktails were exquisite! I heartily recommend dining at Cru!”
“food was so good, beer was even better. 10/10 recommend splinter cat and the patty melt. the place was so cute and homey too. definitely bringing the family there again. the service was great and the staff were all so friendly, so many games to keep you entertained too.”
“Fantastic experience. The waitress, Deb, and the bartender, Troy, make you feel like family. My wife and I had a blast with them and some awesome locals. All the rooms face the water with a picturesque view and are very clean. We will 100% be back. Can't beat it!”
“Made reservations for a pod, and it was great. What brought it all together was the great bartender who helped us to the pod and served us our drinks and took our order.”
“Note: This is a seasonal Dairy Queen only opened during the Summers and not the Winters. Because of this, burgers are not sold here.Wow! Such great service. Weather is a little warm today so I got the Oreo&Brownie ice cream confectioner cup.Lisa gave such awesome service!”
“My family loves Iron Waffle, but my daughter is distraught that you’re not open on weekdays during the winter apparently. Maybe you could be open with reduced hours?Dietary restrictions: Good GF waffles”
“By far one of the best Wendy's we have ever been to! It looks like a cozy cabin both on the outside and inside. Food was extremely good and staff was awesome. Bathrooms were pretty clean and much better than some Wendy's we have back at home in Southern MN. It was altogether a fantastic experience and we will stop by again next time we come up to Brainerd!”
“Amazing food Everytime. Have been eating here for over 10 years and it's always the friendliest attentive service, and great pizza!Parking: Lots of spaces to park!Kid-friendliness: Super great with kiddos, patient and kind”
“We love Sunshine Summerhouse ❤️ we come here for dates, family dinners, and breakfasts on Sundays sometimes - always delicious. My favorite drink was the Lavender Bees Knees!!”
“My husband and I stopped here for a coffee and breakfast sandwich. Everything was great! There are so many different drinks to choose from and their cinnamon rolls looked amazing. Next time!”
“Theeee best brew pub with in-house brewing in the Brainerd/Breezy Point/Nisswa area! The ambiance was inviting, the owner/bartender/brew-master was friendly and informative, and the brews are PHENOMENAL. From the best American IPA (Downrange) to the best customizable Sour Ale (Wretched Ale - Blood Orange flavor) to the best N/A Snarky Craft Soda (Orange Cream). Their flavors are all natural with no corn syrups and no sugar added. They even have delicious oven baked, no fry food. I heard they have live music on the weekends too! Snarky Loon Brewing Co. has everything you’ve been searching for in between your northern adventures! Veteran owned and operated. Thanks for a great experience Joe!!!”
“Went to a grooms dinner here in July. It was absolutely a blast! The owners were wonderful. The team workers were all awesome! For those who love Breweries, this is a must stop! It was great for all ages…. Lots of games to play! Highly recommend!”
“Not only is the vibe and atmosphere amazing but the food is wonderful! The service is also great even when they are busy! In my opinion this is best restaurant in the brainerd lakes area and only one my husband and I will go to for date night! 10/10 recommends!”
“Excellent food and service. Order the pretzel bucket app, Swedish Goat Burger, Lobster Bisque soup, salads, and Saturday Prime Rib special. SKIP the Greenie drinks. We had a late dinner so it was too dark to enjoy the lake view scenery, but the interior decor was okay - definitely a cabin vibe. Our daughter's basketball team was there for a weekend tournament so we had a very rowdy and large group of 36. Not only did our waitresses flawlessly take our orders, serve our drinks, apps, soups, salads and entrees timely, but she also figured out our separate checks per family despite the fact that the team sat separate from the parents. She deserved that big tip! Here's what we tried: Soft Pretzel Bucket (4/5) $16 HUGE bucket shared by the entire table of 36. Great pretzels and cheese sauce. Didn't try the mustard sauce but I wished for a bit more salt. Swedish Goat Burger (5/5) $17 This sucker lasted me 3 delicious meals! A must try if you like goat cheese and lingonberries (like small cranberries). The caramelized onions and large bacon strips made the burger perfect IMHO. Lobster Bisque Soup (4/5) $4 very flavorful, filling, rich and creamy. I had no detectable slivers of lobster though. Saturday Prime Rib special (5/5) $29 for the large 16 oz portion. Best meal at the table. Everyone's steaks were cooked to order perfectly. The side salad was LARGE and fresh. 3 at our table ordered the Greenie drink since we heard it was their drink specialty. I could feel the alcohol but couldn't taste it. Good lemon-lime flavor but it was SO sweet, it gave us tummy aches. None of us finished the Greenies and we all switched to other drinks. Our daughter and her friend shared the chicken strip bucket and the classic burger. She said both were good but nothing special.”
“Cozy well run, clean and quiet restaurant. Perfect for families, small groups and couples. Good menu variety. Great food, I enjoyed the lasagna. Frequent check ins from the staff and one by the cook. Good food temperature. I'm going back again.”
“I ate here for my first time. Best sandwich I ever had. The cheeseburger sandwich. Also the best chicken wild rice soup ever. Highly recommend ...5 stars for sure. Can't wait to go back!”
“We can't speak more highly of luckys! The menu is huge, everything delicious and large portions! BEST bar chairs you will ever sit on in your life! The staff is always on top of your every need. There is a reason this place is always busy. Have been here 100+ times and never leave disappointed!”
“Gorgeous location. Odean was a wonderful server. Super great personality he made out lunch extra. ?? Highly recommend. Food quality was excellent. We will be back.”
“Stopped here for dinner on a Wednesday evening and was quickly greeted by a nice bartender. We grabbed a table and the server was alone in the place that was quite busy. She did wonderful until her help arrived. Cold drinks and great food. Definitely return here in the future.Dietary restrictions: Not a ton of GF options”
“First time in Nisswa and we always ask the locals where to eat (everyone loves to talk food) :) When pizza was mentioned Rafferty's was the place to go. My other half is gluten free so it's always a struggle to find good GF crust. The young lady working the counter was great, took the time to show us which crust they use for GF pizza. Ordered a taco pizza and was nice to see chips on the pizza (a lost art).We really enjoyed the pizza. It's thinner than most so don't feel as guilty eating pizza and so stuffed once done. I'd certainly eat there again, the gluten free was spot on, wouldn't know it was GF if didn't order it ourselves. A+ coming from a couple of true foodies!!Now here's the funny part...had leftovers and once back to Grand View Lodge pizza box would not fit in little fridge, so with it being cool outside set it on the patio chair. Looked out a bit later and even squirrels can't resist Rafferty's Pizza! Let him have his fill of two full slices of taco pizza :)”
