Sunday Brunch is excellent! I love their Sunday Brunch. They start with delicious caramel rolls and Brut Champagne (unlimited champagne). Then you order one each from appetizers, breakfast, entree. I had three huge cocktail shrimp. Served over ice with sauce. Husband (who was celebrating his birthday) ordered a mandarin orange/romaine salad with nuts and dried cranberries. For breakfast we each ordered eggs benedict. It was half of what you get for breakfast in other restaurants -- a single, perfectly poached egg; hollandaise was great, and I am fussy. It came with a small side of roasted potatoes and peppers/onions and a small bowl of fresh fruit. They also delivered a plate of croissants and scones. Main course options were salmon, shrimp pasta, Swedish meatballs, a 4 oz. filet with mushroom risotto, grilled pork chop and a chicken dish. We both had the filet and mushroom risotto and were very happy with our choice. For dinner, you get three small 3-bite desserts. All three were memorable, especially the chocolate creme brulee. Service was impeccable. They refilled our champagne and water without us having to ask. Brought clean silverware between courses. Wished my husband happy birthday numerous times and again on our way out. $45/person and we had enough leftover for dinner in the evening. Wonderful value. Great food. Beautiful restaurant. Perfect service. The menu changes every week and is posted on their website for the whole month ahead. We can't wait to go back!
Excellent food and food choices. Excellent dessert choices. Excellent wine choices. Outstanding Wade staff.
Fantastic food! The filet was perfectly done with a nice white cheese sauce. And the pins colada pie was exceptional. Service was professional and gracious. Great atmosphere.
Fabulous Father's Day brunch! So much food we had enough for dinner at home. We enjoyed all of it!
Had a fantastic Father's Day brunch. Very quiet and exceptional food. There was so much we got to take some home and have it for dinner. Rally good value and a great experience. Rose was a fantastic server.
We had a very nice server, Allie. She explained the specials and filled our waters. Food was excellent. We all had Clam Chowder and thought it was some of the best we've had. Everything else was also very good.
Food and our waitress were great. The manager was rude to us when she found out we wanted to split the meal. We won't be back.
We have dined here quite a few times and have always enjoyed the food, cocktails, and the service. This time the service was a little off and the 1887 filet with mushroom cap was a little tough and it usually is tender like butter. The dirty martini my husband ordered was not dirty at all. The Reuben Truffles were delicious and I would highly recommend them. We will still continue to go here as they might have just been having an off night and we have had great meals and cocktails here before!
I was excited to try Lake Elmo Inn and overall had an ok experience. I ordered the walleye which I found to be very dry. Additionally the vegetable were salty, overall the dish was not especially tasty. I actually found the walleye to be very fishy tasting like maybe it was overcooked or not fresh. My partner had the steak and described it as delicious and perfect so maybe it was just the fish that wasn't great. I did really appreciate the chocolate covered strawberry and warm towel at the end of our dinner.
Additionally our server was not very friendly.

Our food was very good as was the atmosphere, but we feel we had a waiter that was not trained in for the position.
We ordered our drinks and did not get them.( we thought she was waiting on the bartender). She took our order and then brought both our soup and salads together. That is when I asked if she forgot our cocktails.
She went back to the bar area and brought them right away as she did forget. I just had a bite of my salad and she brought our dinner! I told her that we just got our salads…. She said the chef had it done. So basically, we got our drinks, soup, salad & dinner all at the same time!! Not a very enjoyable dinner. Again, she was very sweet & we still left her a good tip, but she definitely needed more training to live up to the service you normally get at Lake Elmo inn.

Trans phobic employee Lisa Schlitz works here. Would not recommend
We went for a special meal. The duck soup was excellent. My plate as well as my companions food was cold. My Chilean Bass was watery & not sure it was cooked inside. I was so disappointed.
I hate the not cooked vegetables & cold baked potato. My butter wouldn't melt on it. Didn't eat stuff. Took home dog wouldn't even eat the fish. Good if you're on a diet!

We were so excited about our Thanksgiving meal for 4! First time in years, I haven’t cooked a Turkey meal, but we had a family matter that prevented us from making our thanksgiving dinner this year.
It was perfect in every way, the 5 course was delicious, except…..the walleye was so fishy. I could have cried. Oh why did I order the fish? I mentioned the fishy fish to our waitress and asked her to talk to the cook. Really felt they could have addressed the fish y fish with but didn’t really even apologize?
