Their menu offers many wonderful choices and all are excellent. If you are celebrating an anniversary, you can receive a complimentary glass of champagne! Great food, excellent service and very attentive staff supporting the servers.
Everything was excellent for our group celebrating our anniversaries. Our waiter was on spot and super relatable.
Service, excellent. Food, outstanding. Always an enjoyable event when dining for those special occasions. I have been coming here for over 4 decades, and will certainly be back again.
Came to Lake Elmo Inn for a birthday dinner. We made a reservation for 4 and we ending up having 5. Front desk person was very put out with this . Very disappointed. From the start we each got one roll each. This was baffling to me. Our group was hungry and this would have been nice to have a basket of bread. Birthday person had prime rib and said it was excellent, had no complaints. I had walleye. The walleye had a good flavor but it was so fishy, I could only eat about 30% and I left the rest. I had been looking forward to it all day. Another person in our party had a pasta dish. The portion was so small. It wasn't even half of what I expected for the price. Another person had an order of fires. I think there were only 8 or 9 fries on the plate. This is not the Lake Elmo Inn I'm familiar with. The Inn used be of the best quality and was always at an ok price. I feel like my days at Lake Elmo in are coming to an end. Our server was Judy and she is such a sweet person but it took forever to get our order in. When I left 70% of my dinner on the plate, Judy asked me if I would like a box and I said no thank you. I really thought she should have asked me if I had a problem with it but she just cleared the plate and went on. I felt the bus people were hovering over us and one took my drinking glass before I was ever done. Our bill was $256 before tip and that's an ok price if the food would have been much better quality and full portion size. The portion size was in insult. On the way home we had to stop for the pasta person to get some food She was still hungry. So disappointing. I want the old Inn back.
No matter the occasion, Lake Elmo Inn always creates a special atmosphere/experience for diners. Ours was a gathering of longtime friends (including one birthday girl). Enjoyed sitting in a booth by the fireplace. Top-notch staff always knocks it out of the park. I'm amazed that they can keep so many details straight. Of course, our entrees were delicious. The five of us also shared three different desserts among us (all spectacular). Our server even offered to portion our "Sin of the Inn" dessert onto individual plates for us. We appreciated being able to linger and catch up with each other. Outstanding!
Great quality food, satisfying portions and incredible service! We go for brunch for most special occasions. I wouldn't say it's “fine dining”, but definitely an elevated experience. Really beautiful atmosphere when they have their Christmas decor out. And Rose is a WONDERFUL server! We love her and would specifically ask for her when visiting.
We went because of the soup and sandwich special which is a rea deal. The food was excellent and the wait staff as always the best. This place never lets us down.
Our server was short and impatient at the beginning and became rude at end. After noticing a tray of small complimentary desserts for another person with happy birthday tags in them I asked why my husband wasn't offered something special since the staff knew we were there to celebrate his birthday. His retort was “I guess I could have stuck a candle it” referring to the carrot cake he ordered and turned and walked away. The waiter put the trays of hot towels on the take home food box in front of my 5 year old granddaughter and the plate of strawberries were almost thrown on the table by her much like the steak knives for my son and his boys were tossed down rather placed. We were all appalled by his attitude and behavior but did not want it to spoil our family celebration. We spent $560 for sub par service. Very disappointed. The most attentive person was the young woman filling our water glasses. Our waiter never even asked how our food was. He didn't deserve the tip we left. My son has been in the industry for 32 years and said he would never go back based on this experience.
This is a unique brunch. Excellent food choices encompassing appetizers, breakfast, lunch and dessert. Every choice we made was great. The service was impeccable.
Outstanding Atmosphere, Service, Food Quality and Value! Will definitely recommend and we will return when we are back in the area!

The food was excellent and the staff made our guest of honor feel so special on her special day.
Curtis was his usual awesome self (we sat in the bar). It was our anniversary and he started us with a glass of champagne; which we greatly appreciated. As for food, Ive been to Manny's Murry's, Cap Grille, Ruth's and others. Last nights Bone in Filet was the best steak I have ever ordered in a restaurant. You never disappoint us. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank LEI!
Very disappointing. The potatoes and veg cold and the room temp was too cold to enjoy dinner. We wore our coats.
We enjoyed variety of entrees, Prime Rib, duck, Walleye and shrimp and all were excellent. the waitress was pleasant, attentive and professional. From drinks to the desserts, we throughly enjoyed ourselves. So Good!🥰
Food was good but the menu has too many items with sauces & toppings. Looking for less complicated food choices.
