Bar Harbor Supper Club

We always have great experiences at Bar Harbor! We love the food, atmosphere, and service! It is such a fun place for an evening out! My favorite is the crab ragoon risotto!

So yesterday, my wife and I ordered the ribeye steak. Had issues with their meat at this location before so I thought we would give it another try and 90% of the ribeye was fat and grissily. In a very nice way I let the waitress know that she should go show the cook this. She never came back to the table for 20 minutes. And when she did come back, all she did is take the plates away and uneaten food. So another 20 minutes passed She managed to bring the bill over never mentioned anything whether or not she had a conversation with the chef. And I noticed our $65 ribeye was still on the receipt. Was never asked if we wanted anything else. so we paid her bill in full and left Her around a $44 tip in cash.

Lady never came back to the table to pick up the bill and see if we need a change.

I'm telling you straight up do not order any steaks pork chops from this place you will not be happy..

It is the best food in neighborhood however, they should change the menu once in a while and definitely need a better wine list.

Fun and relaxing place to go for anyone! The food was exceptional. Drinks were awesome! Staff was awesome! Great ambience!

Had a Great server! Requested a window booth and it was lovely. We did not realize it was a limited menu on Sunday. Was really looking forward to other choices. Crab cake was amazing, walleye, ok.unitl next time.

Fabulous !! Appetizer (Dirty Martini Dip), Salad, Dinner (Miso Halibut and Short Rib) was amazing. Nice views of the lake as well.

The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing. The service was very good. However, the food was lack luster at best. We had the crab cake appetizer. Presentation was outstanding. Unfortunately the presentation didn't match the taste. Not much flavor. Very average. Next course was a Cesar salad with anchovies. Again, Cesar dressing had very little flavor. (This is becoming a theme) We both ordered the grilled prime rib for our main course. We quickly realized “grilled prime rib” was code for leftover prime rib from the night before warmed up on the grill. We ordered medium rare. Came out medium/medium well. This cut of meat should be packed with flavor. It was not. Bland, tough, lacking any beef flavor and the au ju had no taste. For the prices that are charged we were greatly disappointed.

Don't waste your time you could be the next victim! I have tried to reach out many times. The night we had dinner requested a manager, emailed, called left messages and no one has returned my call. We have always loved coming here for dinner, but the last time we had dinner I planned far in advance, it was my husbands birthday. It started our great like we had hoped and then turned into a nightmare in just one inter action with a hostess you have employed there. She obviously has extreme issues with customer service but went way to far. The other hostess was amazing as you would hope, wanted to make sure we had an amazing evening. I would not be reaching out but truly the second hostess has some type or control issue and rage towards guest. She was rude, disrespectful. Treated me unbelievable. Ruined our dinner over a table that I had a reservation for. She told me to move, she did not want to get us a table, then freaked out when I was embarrassed how she acted. Slammed down the menus in front of everyone and stomped off crying. I still am speechless with her actions and was more embarrassed to have family from out of town see this occur. We should not have stayed. I want to talk to a General manager, I am owed atleast an apology. I have reached out many times, and now I am going to track down the owner of the company. This was unacceptable. I still have no idea to act in a controlling manner to ruin our evening. She's a horrible person and ruined our evening.

One of our favorites! Limited menu on Sunday but the food was still over the top. We enjoyed the prime rib and walleye! Service was world class and our table was by the window which made it even better.

Everything about our dinner was amazing! The atmosphere was just right, comfortable, elegant, and welcoming. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Service was smooth and attentive throughout the evening. I did notice the hostess dealing with a difficult situation with another party, and I just want to say how much I admired her professionalism. Even though she looked a bit defeated after the exchange, she handled it with grace and kept everything moving seamlessly for the rest of us. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We can't wait to come back!

Service was very good, food was excellent except for the bearnaise sauce. It was very sweet, did they add sugar? It was inedible. However the waitress was apologetic and brought me some bordelaise sauce which was very good. It was cold in the restaurant as well.

A classic restaurant with dark leather booths and chairs. A big bar area with an adjacent dining room. Noise from the bar is barely audible in the dining room.Service and food were fantastic.

Our service was excellent! She was always there asking us how things were, how the food tasted and asking if we wanted something else. Excellent service! She was warm and accommodating!

Haven't been to bar harbor in many years. Not sure how they do it, but the place just keeps getting better every time!

My steak in the Surf & Turf was too chewy and not as tender as labeled. My Scrimp looked like it had been rewarmed in a microwave. Louann's Ravioli was fabulous. The service and ambiance were awesome!
