Love this place. I had the blackened ribeye with melted blue cheese and my wife had the filet. We both had the spinach salad and cheesy mashed potatoes. As always, the food was great and so was the service.

I had the halibut and mashed potatoes which were fantastic. We sat at the bar with great service.

Absolutely the best petite filet mignon cooked medium+. And, even the baked potato was exception. The French onion soup was delish too! We will definitely go back!

We certainly enjoyed our visit last evening to celebrate my birthday. The food was outstanding. The service and server, Katelyn, was wonderful. Everything made for a perfect evening!!

My husband s ribeye was a little grizzly but had good flavor, our service was a little slow also. I would still highly recommend this place as our previous experiences have been excellent. Was just an off night.

We were a party of four with two members ordering the filet mignon. Both of the filet mignon ended up having sinuous tough membranes in them, which were so difficult to chew the portions had to be left on the plate. This indicates we likely did not receive the filet mignon the restaurant advertised (and charged us for), but instead received a tenderloin with a portion of fillet, the two separated by the silver skin membrane. The server was extremely polite and professional and the atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful with plenty of spacing to avoid a loud crowded feeling. The other two dishes were wonderful. It is a shame that the two perfectly cooked fillets were the worst part of the meal.

My family and I usually love this place….unfortunately the last few times we’ve been, we’ve been disappointed. I emailed the restaurant and never heard a response so going to post here. We won’t be back until things change. We love the Little Canada location and know that’s still good so we’ll go there instead

My mom and I order a glass of wine when food came and they came basically when we were done and ready for dessert. It was busy and the server was great but that’s pretty slow for Porterhouse. One person in our party ordered a brandy water and was asked what brandy, she likes Korbel - it was $12 for the Korbel and $8 for the drink so it was a $20 drink.

My steak came out and my husband said that’s going to be salty (you could see the grains of salt on the top). It was. His didn’t have that but he said it’s because it was on the bottom and his was also salty. The lobster was salty as well which normally I’d expect and I hope they didn’t salt the lobster but it kind of tasted like they did

The potatoes were warm but like less than lukewarm. I’m surprised they even left the kitchen because you could tell looking at them that they weren’t warm. I did complain about that and they warmed them up and brought them back. They were steaming but it was just the top…they were just lukewarm at that point. They also charge extra for an gratin but didn’t say that. My parents had gone a few weeks before and the server (who they said was kind of rude about it) said that they’re like that because they just go into the oven at 3…they were there at 5. Our reservation was at 4 this time. I don’t see how a restaurant can “prep” that soon before opening. The server for my parents just kind of matter of fact stated it like that’s how it is. It shouldn’t be that way. Whether you come in at 4 or 8, food should be hot

We love the crème brûlée….not anymore….they’ve clearly changed it. The top was great but the custard part was grainy

Sorry I don’t have another picture…was disappointed so didn’t even take pictures of the food

We heard that owner may have changed so maybe that’s part of it. Also seems like a management issue and a chef issue…? We won’t be back until things change

We decided to splurge on our 33rd wedding anniversary and made a reservation. We were seated in a booth which badly needed replacement cushion, very uncomfortable. It took a while for our server to acknowledge we were there. The first question she asked was if we were there for a special occasion, then asked what we wanted to drink. She offered a sample of wine which I accepted. The server never introduced herself. She returned with a beverage for my husband and a wine sample for me. I stated I would take a glass of the wine. The place filled up quickly. Our server was more attentive to other guests, they were receiving drinks and appetizers. The server finally returned to our table with the glass of wine and to take our order. Our entrees arrived before we were finished with our salads. My husband ordered the ribeye, he said it was good but not worth $51. I ordered the pork tenderloin with blue cheese sauce. There was too much sauce which overpowered the pork. After we finished eating, the server took my husband's plate and walked away. I yelled to get her attention and asked for a to-go container. She eventually returned with the container and asked what we wanted for dessert. The dessert offer for our anniversary was nice but it will not bring us back to this restaurant. Sarah G., the server's behavior was odd and unpleasant. Also want to add, this place was crowded and loud, they pack people in tightly. The bar area was full of people eating this overpriced food. Apparently Porterhouse will do anything to make a buck. The customers comfort is not a priority.

Everything and everyone was great. Both of our steaks were not quite cooked long enough the way we ordered them but we could asked to be cooked more if not enjoyable the way they were.

Pam was an excellent waiter and my steak was cooked perfectly!!! I learned there is something called rare plus! My new go to cooking level for a steak.

This place is Top notch! Very classy! We decided to get soup instead of the dinner salad & had French onion & clam chowder. Wow. 😋 Then for our meal we had the prawns & oven baked walleye. So good!
Joseph was our server, he was exceptionally friendly & helpful with our meal decision.
We'll definitely be back again!
MAKE RESERVATIONS!! 👍😉
