I visited here because I saw that the coffee shop is a haven for homeless and other needy people. It is welcoming and would be a great place for Bible study or just to sit and read. The Door definitely has local flair and would be great for cyclists needing caffeine, a sandwich, and a comfy chair when spinning through Laporte on the Paul Bunyan Trail.
Excellent iced latte, smoothie and breakfast burrito! Lovely, clean dine-in atmosphere as well as outdoor seating. Staff is very friendly and order was prepared quickly. Cute collection of gifts available for purchase too.

The atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing. I enjoyed hearing about the history of the building and I loved the mission they have. I got a French vanilla iced latte and some baked goods, definitely will be back! The Door is an absolute gem that’s for sure.
