I had a morning appointment that required me to be a little late for work the other day. Of course I had to bring donuts to atone for my tardiness. After my appointment I called Lindstrom Bakery to see if they could put together an assortment of a dozen donuts on short notice. The new owner answered the phone and was extremely friendly and accommodating. Five minutes after we hung up the phone I showed up and my donuts were ready. I love to support my local businesses that have great customer service. The donuts were a big hit at work by the way!

New owners. Unfortunately, each visit thus far has resulted in unpleasant customer service from the owners themselves. In a small community, it's members will ask questions, the business will fail if simple questions are answered with attitude.Parking: Parking on east side of building.

I love this home town bakery. The best donuts and ginger snap cookies!! They also have very good cookies. And delicious home made bread!
I knew the donuts would be good but they literally melted in my mouth like ambrosia. 10/10

I appreciate small businesses but this was a real let down for me.Please keep your restroom clean.Add butter, shortening, or some oil to the cookies. The chocolate chip cookies had a bad mouthfeel, like eating a chunk of hard sand that made a mess.The bismark looking coffee cake seemed like it was made as a way to deal with left overs, it was not good. The dough was dry and plain. Stir in fruit, cream cheese, or some cinnamon, brown sugar, and butter in plain dough like that. A mouthful of dry bread is uncomfortable eat. The sugar icing on top was too much thick solid sugar icing, it should be a little more whipped and frosting like. It didn't combine well on plain bread.The customer service was wonderful.Take a road trip to the Backerei in New Ulm to do a little benchmarking and I hope it brings you some inspiration on european baked goods.
