We're in the area for grandkids activities. Wife and I stopped in at 1145 am on a Sunday. Vikings game started at 1200. Bartender and I believe 2 servers must have a lot of experience. Service was fast and great. wife had a grilled chicken sandwich and chips. I had boneless wings and an alaskan amber (on tap). All food was great. Would stop here again if in the area.

I love a good, old fashioned bar and grill. They have an arcade, pull tabs, Bingo and more. Good beer on tap and I love their blackened walleye sandwich.

My family and I go to Trappers all the time. We love their burgers (we tell people they are the best in town) and have never been disappointed… until today. First of all, they only had one server working so it took awhile to get our beverages and our food. The server was very friendly and did apologize for this. We ordered 2 blue cheese burgers - one was a double. The server came out with one and said the cook accidentally made a chicken burger so the other one would come out in a few minutes. The first burger was supposed to be the double and it was more like one patty with extra patty crumbles. It was extremely dry and didn’t have the haystack onions on it or pickles (on the side) as the menu stated. The fries were undercooked (limp) and cold. The server mentioned taking the burger off the bill but didn’t for whatever reason. He offered a beer no charge but I declined as I went there for the burger not the beer. He did take $6 off the bill but he also didn’t take off the $2 for the Happy Hour quesadilla. As for the quesadilla, the side of guac was browning and the lettuce looked very old. But the quesadilla itself was okay. Again, the server was very kind but we are not impressed with the overall experience and food quality. We probably won’t be back anytime soon. With it being Father’s Day, we expected better service and better food!
