Always fantastic service! Katie and Marty are friendly and make a great cocktail! Food is always good! The hosts are very welcoming and friendly as well. Definitely will be back.

We always enjoy our visit to Birch's. The lakeview is great, so it the food and service. A nice, quiet, small-town feel visited by mostly local patrons. It is exactly what my wife and I seek when dining out.

Celebrated my son's 40th birthday with our respective wives and their two boys. Had an excellent server in Mindy and received extra attention from managers on site. Food, as always, was excellent!

Environment was fairly quiet. Our food was excellent, including dessert of bread pudding. We even received a nice anniversary gift/recognition from the restaurant which we will definitely use.

I'm surprised by the 4.2 Stars and after reading some of the negative reviews, perhaps we just got really lucky, because I thought everything was excellent!! My aunt, cousin and I went during Winter Restaurant Week (I know, a little late in my review) and we ordered different entrees from the prefix menu andevery dish was so so good! My aunt loved her fish tacos, my cousin loved her vegan bowl and my chicken and fries entree was so bomb!! My chicken was tender and moist and my fries crunchy! We sat by the window with an incredible view of the lake. The desserts were to die for and my beer flight was tasty! Mind you I'm writing this from memory from 2 months ago and can still remember how delicious everything was. My mouth is watering right now as I write this review. Oh, the manager or owner stopped by our table to say hello so we thought that was nice. :)
Had a great time at Birch's. Hadn't been for a while and definitely will put back on our return to list. Had the Salmon and was very good. Deserts were delicious and were big enough to share. Another person had crab cake and said was very good and beer cheese soup excellent. Will definitely return also liked the valet parking. Was prom night which might explain the noise for the night
We had a wonderful time! The only downside was that my steak was incredibly tough. I ordered it medium and it came over done, completely over cooked throughout the entire steak. I ended up cutting it up for my dog.
Birches is lovely. Unfortunately the food was not great. My husband got the chicken & ribs dinner. The 2 piece's of chicken were super tiny - to the point of embarrassment considering what you are paying for the dish. Plus his cheddar biscuit was so hard you couldn't bite into it. My walleye was good, but they gave me a small scoop of potatoes that were just barely warm. I love the atmosphere but it's not worth dropping $150 on a meal when it's not good. Advice: Just go for the drinks and view.

Very underwhelming. The food was overpriced and average, and no vegetarian options. Very meat/fish heavy and accommodating different diets didn't seem welcome. The server seemed annoyed that we didn't order drinks (it was the middle of the day), and was mechanical at best. I expected a better experience when you're spending this much money.Vegetarian options: Not much.

We love Birches! Been there many times without incident. Our luck ran out last night. The bartender was the server for our booth and she seemed to be struggling. Forgetting drinks, bringing the wrong drinks and then telling my husband he didn't order anything. Ordering food was struggle as well. We felt very much like an after thought which has never been the case before. The person that brought out our food, filled our waters was very polite and prompt. We wished we could have tipped him.
No service for 15 minutes after being seated. Server was polite but transactional. Ambiance in the back room by the exit door wasn't great. Steak on the salad had zero sear, pan probably wasn't hot enough. Lamb pasta dish just wasn't good. Burger and bolognese were tasty though. Prices are pretty steep here, especially when sitting in a back room with little view of the lake.
