The pan-seared Walleye entree with roasted veggies/wild rice was truly memorable. Presentation is comparable to 5-star restaurants at reasonable prices.
Atmosphere is 100% Minnesota.

Food is generally good, however the bartender was more concerned with the golf game on the tv's and talking with another patron rather than taking my order. When he did take my order he got it wrong (it was just a salad dressing request) which he was upset that i mentioned politely when it came out, he sent the whole meal back and I waited 15 more minutes for the meal to come back for dressing. The burger was just warm by then.

I have been going to Red Rooster for over 20 years. It has changed so much, in a very positive way. It is better than it has ever been and continues to progress. The food has gotten quite good. Drinks are fine, nothing out of this world but typical for a bar atmosphere. I got the Bistro Burger. It was alright. Fried pickles were not that fried, more soggy than I would have liked. We sat outside and it was very enjoyable. Long Lake has changed a lot. The Rooster is a staple. If you're in the area it is worth swinging through.

Parking: Parking was fine in the Red Rooster lot, we did go for a late lunch on a week day though. Perhaps it fills up for happy hour.

My boyfriend grew up in this area and has been to Red Rooster many times and was impressed with the improvements and new menu. We were in town visiting and wanted lunch so stopped here. The outside patio was very spacious and pleasant. The server was pleasant and prompt. I got the vegetable sandwich which was on a delicious homemade sourdough and had fresh veggies, cheese, and a thousand island dressing. The tater tots were super yummy. My boyfriend got a burger which was cooked well. Great casual bar spot!

Vegetarian options: Pizza and I loved the veggie sandwich

The food was very good. Service was inattentive despite no other customers. It's difficult for me to tip appropriately with poor service, but I always do anyway, assuming that gratuities are shared.
