We really enjoyed our cider flights. The prices and flavors were just right. We enjoyed having drinks made with local fruit. The environment is nice and the option of sitting outdoors with blankets, heaters and fires is inviting and we hope to do that next time. I appreciated that they had some vegan snack options (crackers and olives) as well.

Great experience. Wine was wonderful, and I purchased a few bottles. There was amazing outdoor space that would be great for other seasons. Outside is dog friendly, love that!

Scott tasted some wine with me and our company guys describing different notes and having great conversations for a moment. Highly recommend coming here for tasty wine, a warm fire, and a woody ambiance!!

Excellent selection! They have something for everyone and the vibe was great. Lots of outdoor seating including fire pits, blankets, and propane heater stands for winter delight!

I've taken yearly trips to North Shore Winery for many years. They are a nice addition to the northern Minnesota area and they've got a diverse selection of wines and ciders that utilize both midwestern and western US grapes. Some highlights: 1. Variety of wine and cider: North Shore Winery has a nice selection of wines and ciders. They have various options of flights that should accommodate a wide variety of palates. 2. Inviting seating area: They have an inviting seating area, complete with a large wooden log table that adds a touch of rustic charm that fits in with the north woods feel. It provides the perfect setting for people to gather and share a bottle of wine. 3. Scenic outdoor space: The outdoor space at North Shore Winery is large and inviting, you can enjoy a glass of wine next to the fire pit or sit at a picnic table and enjoy the ambiance of nature. 4. Pricing: Wine and cider prices are reasonable for the market area. Some lowlights: 1. Limited host engagement and ordering approach: One aspect that has changed over time is the level of engagement with hosts. Previously, the winery used to host tastings right at the bar, creating opportunities for visitors to interact with hosts, ask questions, and learn more about the wines and grapes. Unfortunately, this setup has transitioned into a more transactional, cafeteria-style experience. This shift to a mere ordering station diminishes the interactive aspect of the winery visit. Visitors now simply place their orders and leave, leaving little room for follow-up questions or a deeper understanding of the winery's offerings. This change may leave visitors feeling disconnected from the winery and the owners, and thus less informed about the wines they're enjoying. 2. Payment processing: A small nuance but North Shore Winery accepts payment upfront instead of the possibility of starting a tab. Although some may deem this a convenience to pay up front, it is more likely to discourage additional drink orders or bottle purchases. I do enjoy North Shore Winery for their diverse wine and cider selection, as well as their inviting atmosphere, but the recent shift towards a more transactional approach with limited host engagement is a notable drawback. They could benefit from finding a balance that maintains the inviting atmosphere while reinstating opportunities for visitors to engage with hosts, fostering a more immersive and engaging experience.

Nice enough place. Staff are friendly. Just not a fan of wine I guess...?
Super cute winery with plenty of space and things to see, like art on the grounds outside and the whole inside is really cool too. They provide plates/knives/napkins if you buy a snack to go with your drinks. We used the Bluefin Bay resort shuttle service by signing up for it, check to see if your lodgings provide a ride so you can get day drunk.

It's exactly what you would want when you go to a winery. Good wine and ciders. Lots of seating and cozy places to sit and enjoy your wine and company. They also have live music and lots of parking. It was also just a short walk from the place we were staying, if you don't want to drive. We visited several times during our stay.

Over priced wine with residue in the bottom of our first glass. We went home with a $38.00 bottle of cooking wine. We will never return to this winery.
