We loved our stay at Cascade Lodge! We always look to stay somewhere with a wood fireplace, big whirlpool tub, and totally separate cabins. Only downside was that it wasn't right on the water, but it was just across the road, so still not bad. Would definitely stay here again. The food at the restaurant is super good, but we also cooked a fair share in the cabin and we had most of the kitchen supplies we needed and just winged it for what we were missing and it worked out just...read full review
Rooms: Cozy rooms with a modern, Scandinavian vibe. Felt really updated yet rustic.Nearby activities: Super close to excellent skiing and the cute town of Grand Marais!Food & drinks: Restaurant is one of my faves. The wait staff makes you feel so at home, the food is everything you’d want from a stepped up north shore bar and grill, and the live music is an added weekend touch.

We stayed in one of the “base camp” cabins for 3 nights and for the most part really loved our stay! It was the perfect sized cabin for 2 adults and our dog! We could see the lake from our room which was nice and really appreciated the pet friendliness and welcome bag! I will say though that if you want a quiet sleep I would choose one of the other cabin options because the base camp units are all connected and share walls which we didn’t realize, maybe we missed that in...read full review
