Our family was in Luverne this last weekend for a softball tournament. My wife and I had a beer, while the kids had ice cream sandwiches. The beer was excellent and the ice cream got a big thumbs up after a warm day!

And I am so grateful that they are here. Luke makes awesome beers. His entry level options are super tasty and easy to drink. His specialty beers are the kind that make craft beer nerds really really happy.

Stopped in on our way to Blue Mound State Park, from St. Paul. They have a deal where you can sign up for 12 oz beer and they keep bringing em until you turn over your coaster! Service was great and loved the vibe! If you’re swinging through Luverne MN stop and check it out!

We stayed at Take 16 Brewery as our Harvest Host for the night. We loved the town and people of Lucerne. The town is meticulous and clean and full of lovely people. Brenda was our server, host and knower of all things Lucerne. She took great care of us, from the excellent beer choices, bike trails and coffee shop recommendations and morning check in. Take 16 is located right in downtown Luverne. We stayed overnight as part of the Harvest Host program. Parking is off the main street so not as much traffic noise. Very friendly staff. We had delicious cauliflower crusted magherita pizza and draft beer all made onsite. There are many beers and 3 hard ciders to choose from. The red sour was very tasty. Both the indoor and outdoor seating areas and spacious and welcoming. We walked around the old fashioned (early 1900’s vibe) quaint downtown with a History center housing 4000 nutcrackers! Very cute neighborhood. We had a great stay.
