I have been going to Madelia Lanes for over 20+ years (back when it was still Blackhawk Lanes), and it has been my go-to bowling alley. Its small enough so there's not too many people and you can't hear yourself think, but its big enough to get a crew together and go bowl a few rounds. Stumbled upon this place last Saturday and it might just be my new favorite place to bowl. The atmosphere had some retro vintage vibes but the lanes were synthetic with modern scoring system. Played for a solid 4 hours and didn't have any equipment malfunctions. They have a few beer selections on tap, as well as ice cream, shakes and a full menu. The fries alone are probably worth the drive from Mankato. I will be back for sure!
