Best Chinese food in Mankato! They make the best crab rangoon, delicious fried rice, and mouth-watering entrees! Staff is super nice and food is reasonably priced! Cannot recommend enough!

Used to like this place. Used to have good portions and good flavor. We ordered sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and egg roll and chicken with broccoli. We got 2 containers full of rice. Very little broccoli and chicken. The sweet and sour chicken was all batter and tasted old. I called to complain about the portion sizes and quality. They told me they have never had anyone complain. No problem. Ill never be back here.

I went and ordered food a hour before closing time. First off guy was moping floor with bleach that was so strong and smelled like throw up I should have walked out then. I ordered my food which was cooked to order but when I got home and open it the chicken âfriedâ rice was barely cooked. Key word fried rice. I first looked at it and was like itâs not brown like it normally is then I tasted it and half cooked spit it out. I didnât pay for half cooked rice: Like are you serious pure trash. I use to come here all the time and just moved back to Mankato and thought oh my fave Chinese place but honestly I see it has gone down hill. Wonât get my money anymore thatâs for sure! How you cook rice to order and itâs not done. Smh! Just donât come a hour or two before close cause apparently they donât care. Off to go find a different Chinese place you have lost my business and I will tell everyone I know.

The food was wonderful and it came out super fast! The workers were super nice, too!
Dietary restrictions: They have a diet section on their menu if you're watching what you eat! It looked like a lot of veggies, but I don't know too much about vegan/vegetarian eating, so I'm not sure if theres completely vegetarian/vegan options.
Parking: It might be a bit difficult to find if you dont quite know where it is, but google navigates it pretty well. It's kind-of connected to the Walmart parking lot.

I had a terrible experience at China Star. I ordered beef chow mein, expecting a dish with noodles, but received a meal consisting mostly of celery and onions with only a small amount of beef. When I went back to ask about the missing noodles, instead of receiving a polite explanation, the cashier raised her voice and became hostile. The food was disappointing, and the customer service was worse. I wonât be returning to this restaurant

Used to be really good with nice sized servings. Everything is so small and plain now. Only 2 little peas in my fried rice. The beef and broccoli sauce seems different or watered down or something. But it is somehow more expensive?
