Sadly, temporarily closed sign on the door next to a Realty sign
Food is great but they aren't ever open- not even sure if they are still in business

Terrible food. I even went twice(as awful as it was the first time) hoping the first time was a fluke.
I’m from Texas, I love BBQ, and have been to many Dickey's—they have all been delicious, with very similar & delicious flavors. This location, however, is just plain BAD. The meat was almost all fat and very dry, the sides were either tasteless or tasted terrible(I cannot get over the fact that it tasted like the green beans had been flavored with a huge amount of what seemed to be cumin, perhaps? It was nauseating, frankly, and a flavor combination that green beans and BBQ had no business with 🤢.
Oh, and if this wasn’t enough, I forgot to mention that the first time we went there, we placed an expensive online order—then when we went to pick it up, the door was locked and there was a sign that said they had decided to close early that day. It was extremely annoying and almost unbelievable that a place of business would not only randomly decide to close hours early, but that they would still continue to accept payment for online orders that they clearly had no intention of filling, given they had locked the doors for the day.
Who in the world operates a place of business this way? Certainly not an owner who values their customers and providing them with a good experience.
I cannot advise you strongly enough to avoid this place.

First let's start with saying they have posters all over with or codes that if you leave a 5 star review you get a free drink. So read true reviews as this place is shady.
Stopped in and ordered two of the two meat plates. Brisket, pulled pork and jalapeño sausage with fries, mac and cheese, baked beans, and Cole slaw.
The brisket was more fat than meat. The pulled pork had a thick layer of sort of seasoning we have never seen in all our years of eating at Dickey's locations. I don't think this place actually smokes their meat. It almost looks like they boil it.
We didn't actually eat the food, and we were given a full refund.
While we love Dickeys, normally we probably would not visit this location again.

I absolutely love Dickey barbecue pit I've eaten at countless locations across the cou try. But whoever is running this place and allowing someone to put their own blend of secret sauces/spices on this chicken needs to don't. There is no need to be adding your own touch to a well established franchise my chicken had a light tomatoey type zety flavor and no it wasn't the bbq sauce, I couldn't even taste the smoke. Now had I knew that was going to be the case then so be it right but it's a franchise for a reason. I expect the same chicken that I've received in countless out Dickeys locations.

When Asians are serving you the BBQ, you shouldn’t expect much. The Coleslaw and Potato Salad were from Walmart, The Pulled Pork was mushy and the Sweet Tea was absolutely rancid.
Do Mankato a favor and close down.
Sincerely,
A Southern Girl!

Seriously one of the best places in Mankato, don’t discount it’s because it’s a chain. Absolute best value for the money, especially on a Sunday or for a work lunch! Great, consistently delicious brisket, sausage, pulled pork.
Kid-friendliness: Good food for kids, relaxed environment. Free ice cream and deals for kids meals.

So I didn’t think this place could get any worse. They need to just shut this place down. Everytime my fiancé and I have been here it’s ALWAYS empty. We got beef brisket, chicken, beans, coleslaw and the potato casserole stuff plus a side of toast. We both agreed that the toast was the best tasting thing on our plates. The chicken was so dry I could not even bite through it. The meat had no smoke flavor and was very tasteless. We were hoping the food was better since they reopened but nope. We’ve given this place plenty of chances. It is NOT worth it.
