JD's Hideaway Mankato Axe Throwing

Sat down got my own menu no one serves me. Wouldn't ask me for a drink anything.. Go right next door don't ignore their 3.7 rating. Smh can't find good workers these days.

Some friends and I recently enjoyed an evening at JD’s Hideaway in downtown Mankato. They had the most amazing home cut french fries, the best I’ve had in a very long time, exactly like the ones my mom used to make at home when I was a kid. I also had a perfectly made burger, one that wasn’t talking to me when I bit into it , but was Juicy and grilled just the way I like it.
We also enjoyed a new appetizer called vegan chicken wings, Definitely something everyone should try.
JD‘s is an amazing place to hang out if you wanna go with a group of friends or your best friend. Shoot some pool, throw some axes or darts, Enjoy the other activities are just have some good food and drinks. This is definitely the place to go for an evening of good entertainment, good food and drinks.
oh, and don’t forget to grab a bowl of their delicious wild rice soup!

If you wanna check out live music, good food and good drinks. You are missing out on Jd’s. There is golf sim in the back and axe throwing which are super fun. Really best hangout spot for party.

Great service, huge beer selection, delicious food and really fun axe throwing! Can't wait to get back for more axe throwing!

Our new favorite place! Had never been in. Right away good fun chil vibe. The bartender was very attentive, spot on. (Turns out he's the owner, clearly loves it, makes a huge difference!) Queen, is the queen of the kitchen! And fun conversation! Seriously wonderful lady! We had wings and fish and chips. Wings were very meaty and perfect, fish... AND tartar... awesome almost ordered a second batch. Feels like the home you wish you had! Can't wait to go back!

Terrible service. Two bartenders and about 5 patrons and 2 nights in a row couldn’t get a drink. It’s a nice bar with a nice atmosphere but the service was horrible. I didn’t figure it could be that bad 2 nights in a row but it was exactly the same.

Service was terrible, we sat down at our table and it took 25 minutes before we were even acknowledged getting our drinks took even longer…and the place was dead?! The only good thing about this place is the chefs. Great food.

I ordered the JD’s Trio and the order was wrong, the mozzarella sticks were replaced with onion rings that were not cooked all the way, the boneless chicken wings were small and there wasn’t 15 of them there were 6 small popcorn chicken looking things, and the tortilla chips were stale. I ordered two sauces and only received one, no receipt either. I wish I was exaggerating but I’m not. I will never order from there again.

Good service, tasty food and you get to throw axes… what’s not to love? Did I mention getting to throw sharp objects while enjoying a cocktail - what’s not to love? Aggression out - vacation mode on. And don’t worry - there are clear guidelines to keep sharp objects away from fingers, toes and friends - one tip - closed toe shoes are required to Throw axes so be sure to leave the sandals at home or you might only be able to eat and drink … which is actually not so bad but … axes …🪓🪓🪓

We did not receive any of our dipping sauces-which defeated the purpose of our two orders of the pretzels and the “special” wood chips. And there was no ranch (or any sauce) on the Ranch Chicken Wrap. We called them but after not getting through we messaged them on Facebook to see if there was a way to make it better-something as simple as we could simply come pick up the sauces. They ignored our message. Really disappointing as we probably would have eaten here again.
