Pappageorge Restaurant & Bar

First time visit to Pappageorge. As I told my group, this place is like a hole in the wall. Nothing flashy to draw you in BUT it is one of the best places to go. The food, service and atmosphere are awesome. In the outskirts of Mankato and is a diamond in the rough. Will come back on my next business trip!

Some folks in our party liked the food, those that got the walleye and steak. Those of us that got pasta thought it was overcooked and tasted bland. Service was great....atmosphere was okay.

This was our first time eating here. The food was amazing. Steaks were cooked perfect. Carrots we're amazing. The shrimp bisque soup was very good also. We will definitely be back. Make a reservation.

Great American cuisine. We had the black and blue burger and the broccoli asiago pasta. The burger was cooked perfectly with some sparky flavor to it! Service was timely and friendly. Atmosphere was clean and welcoming.

Stopped in for lunch while we were in Mankato for an appointment. Deceiving from the outside, but as soon as you walk in, you feel this is a local favorite. We were warmly greeted and shown a table. My husband loved the wings, and the Cobb salad was a good portion, and the ingredients were fresh. great grilled chicken. would recommend if you are in the area.

We went at 3 pm on a Friday restaurant was dead silent and we were the only pair in for a while, service was excellent, but I cannot say the same about the food. Fried cauliflower appetizer was bland, cauliflower was somehow still raw, and the batter coating falls right off. The cheese sauce was obviously nuked in the microwave. Not to mention that the idea of “fried cauliflower with cheese” is odd to begin with. Our entrees were lacking as well, the mushroom ravioli w/ fillet mignon had little seasoning and the raviolis were obviously not fresh, and for nearly $30 you’d think it’d be a bit more appetizing. Veggie burger was sad, served with browning lettuce and the thinnest tomato ever, veggie patty itself was dry and probably frozen, and the fries WEREN’T SEASONED! We had to salt them ourselves! Overall, I wouldn’t go, unless you’re prepared to send food back to get your moneys worth.
