Potbelly Sandwich Shop near Minnesota State University

Food was great. Customer service however was atrocious. The two people working were so put out to have to make two sandwiches and shakes at 3pm in the afternoon. My pork was still cold in my warm and toasty sandwich. We were literally the only customers in there. We love Potbelly but will never go to this location again.

So, it has been 6 years since my review and I feel like I should update. In six years, we've eaten Potbelly so many times I've lost count! But, no matter the day or time, I still would be hard pressed to find a fault. They've never gotten my order wrong, they pay attention to the details when making special requests and they do it all with a smile! Thank you to Potbelly, and all of the staff that seem to actually like their jobs, it's refreshing!

I really have admired Potbelly since I moved to Mankato but tonight's salad was inedible. Very soft lettuce salad greens that should've been tossed out yesterday. Super sad for such a quality salad.

I love Potbelly’s, but unfortunately my experience today was disappointing. The person working the drive-thru around 7:45 pm was noticeably rude over the intercom, impatient, short, and clearly uninterested in being there. I couldn’t find the chip options on the menu, and when I asked, he responded with a lot of attitude. There aren’t many chip options on the menu but he wouldn’t tell me what they were and told me to look at the menu. For my first time in the drive through with Potbelly’s impressively vast meal paired with an impatient worker, I felt rushed and couldn’t find it. That’s not what I expect from one of my favorite places.

On a positive note, the bearded employee who handed me my order was much friendlier, so kudos to him.

Lately, my visits have also been hit or miss when it comes to food temperature. I ordered a Cubano Toastie in the drive-thru tonight and still received it cold, which was a real letdown.

Food overall is pretty good! Only thing I have to add is I visit this location from Austin and when I go my order is never how it’s suppose to be. It’s either replaced with another item I did not order or my sandwich is made incorrectly. This time I received an Italian sandwich with the meat and cheese required with cucumber only. No sauce, no other veggies. Very tasteless.

Overcharged for food, management gave some crap about the correct amount would only be charged on my card, well it wasn't. I want my money back that you kept.

Okay so the staff are great but I warn you do not get theyre BLTA unless you like eating pure liquid smoke. Completely ruined the sandwich, I tried taking the bacon off in hopes I could jusy eat the veggies on the sandwich but there was SO MUCH smoke(I assume of the liquid type) on that bacon it made it's way into every aspect of the sandwich. Very sad. Like I said great service, just really really bad bacon.

This shop and staff are phenomenal every time I go. Seriously, I hope the owners and management really give the staff the proper credit and appreciation. I love you guys! Thank you for always making my day.

Reagan, Emily, and wes gave me an inviting and welcoming experience and are really nice people to talk to, they even let me use a charger of there's to charge my phone when my cord was giving me troubles. This Is a great place to come if you want 100/10 customer service

I order Potbelly salads for our meetings. Everyone loves them! Today, I ordered the salads for pickup instead of delivery. I called at noon and an employee delivered the salads by 12:15 p.m. and offered to unpack the bags and help set up! Potbelly saved the meeting!

Potbelly in the cities seems to be much better imo. The quality is always low in Mankato, food seems older/not fresh.. This time, I couldn’t help but laugh at how uncooked and soggy my bacon was on my BLTA. It was gross, threw it away.

Potbelly consistently has fresh, hot, and tasty food. The malts are delicious. I can recommend the banana malt. If you're in a hurry I recommend the drive-through as it clearly has top priority. There has been long waits in the past but it has gotten better.It's VERY cold inside, consistently.
