We’ve visited Swiss and Madison many times, and it truly holds a special place in our hearts—it’s hands down our favorite dining spot in Mankato. Every visit feels like coming home. The menu always offers something delicious, whether it’s their incredible burgers or fresh, flavorful salads—there’s always a new favorite to discover.
What truly sets this place apart is the warmth of the people. From the moment we walk in, we’re welcomed with genuine smiles and kindness. Nicole, one of the owners, always makes us feel like part of the family. As a fellow family business owner, I deeply admire the love, care, and effort they pour into every detail. You can feel it in the food, the service, and the atmosphere.
Honestly, it’s probably a good thing I live an hour away—or I’d be there every single day! 😊😊

I had high hopes for this one but this ended up being a fairly subpar restaurant with over inflated prices and painfully slow service. The restaurant was nearly empty the entire time we were there which likely should have been a clue for what was to come.
Service was friendly but very slow (just over 2 hours) for a small party of two with no bar orders, no appetizers, no desserts, no special requests and on a night with maybe 5 other tables to wait on in the entire restaurant.
We ordered the filet which was cooked as ordered and tasted great. We also ordered the Parmesan Chicken which was described as coming with a risotto and a vegetable and instead was served with spaghetti (didn’t work, heavily overpriced and honestly it felt like a meal that someone likely just microwaved). Given how extremely long everything was already taking we didn’t ask to have it corrected.
It may have just been an off night but with our check averaging around $40 a plate, it’s not a price point at which I will likely ever bother to find out if that is true or not.

It was a good experience, prices are average to expensive. The service is good, the kind of place that brings you a new refill without having to ask for one. However, it took quite a while for them to bring our food and the restaurant was not busy at all.
