AI taking orders. Couldn’t get a real person. Did not understand what I was saying and when I got to the window my total was more than what the robot said, and my order was not correct. They ran my card without telling me what I actually ordered. Upset. Food took a while too

This 'Johns is always impeccably obsessively clean. Whole thing looks brand new. They have the local papers to read while you eat and one TV going (just enough to stare at but not overwhelming like a sports bar). Staff are perfectly professional yet down-home friendly and polite. Perfect customer service attitude for rural Minnesota. Food is fresh and prompt, made how I asked. And the potato oles are super crispy!
My only complaint is out of their control: the seats are hard!

Food was gross,hard shell tacos were like wet, and soggy messed our order up 3 times, acted like they had no idea which item we were ordering went to riverfront taco johns and got everything perfectly like we asked.

I miss my Girlfriend / handler working at this eatery. It has better food and service than most other texmex restaurants. Same prices or less than other competitors yet quality and freshness far above even a few local sit and eat locations off the same troughway in town(Madison Ave). Girlfriend has family ties to the beginnings of Zanz across the street but we choose this location for the quality and the cleanliness. Suck it Zanz...update your food eatery and bring it up to city code or lower your prices or get bew staff n management.

The gentleman working the Madison location in Mankato, MN. They know what they are doing. They are a great example of the high service there still can be, and should be in ALL food service settings. These men here at the 1040 Madison Ave Mankato , MN store should be given a pay raise and become a real world training store. I would say that maybe the tv channel should be set to more of something national park related or forestry type shows. So that there is much less of a chance of people being offended by what they see or hear in a program that is not controlled. This is an olden way that should have never been forgotten!!! These men today reminded me that we as mankind can do better. MUCH BETTER! As the men at the Madison store proved at 1:44pm on July 5th 2025 After finishing my meal. I sat and continued to observe these men continuing this great service both in the lobby and drive through.. NEVER NEVER NEVER Forget THE WAY!!! THE TRUTH!!! THE LIFE!!! If we humble ourselves and turn from our sinful ways, HE will turn unto us and heal our land.

An AI system takes your order in the drive thru. The couple of times I've been here since it's been updated, it's worked well. I like to take a second to look at the menu and always feel rushed when I know the worker is doing many tasks at once. With a computer, there is no pressure to complete my order rapidly (provided there is no one behind me.)
