I had the absolute best iced latte I have ever had todsy at Tandem's Mankato location. I lived in Brooklyn the first 65 years of my life. I Feel a bit snobbish about bagels feeling Brooklyn bagels are the best. My cinnamon raison bagel today was as good as most Brooklyn bagels. The atmosphere or vibe here is chill. The team members are extremely friendly. If I could give Tandem10 stars I would!!

Not a bad place, but not what I was hoping for I guess. I had never been in. Not from town. Was waiting tor my husband at the dental office across the street. I guess I was expecting a more warm, cozy environment where it’s small, pretty chilly in there and not comfy seating. Coffee is ok. Not saying its a bad place. It’s just not what I was looking for. I expected more of a comfy atmosphere. Its more if a in and out place, not a hang out.

Our family has been going to Tandem since they opened. Flavor of the food is always good, and no issues with the staff or service. However, about 50% of the time, we receive bagels that are over-cooked to the point where we have to cut the top layer off with a knife in order to eat them. The honey wheat bagels are so hard on the bottom, that it’s almost impossible to chew through it. I’m not saying we won’t ever go back, but your customers deserve more consistency with how these are made! We’ve wasted literally hundreds of dollars on inedible bagels over the years, as this is really the only bagel shop in town.

I must have caught you guys on a bad day. Maybe it was me? I stepped to the order here sign and asked about an iced Americano sizes. The barista started to explain then asked me to step to the register for drink orders. I stepped to the cash register as asked and the counter person disappeared. I stood at the cash register waiting for someone to take my order. The place was busy, but I was the only person in line. Maybe it was the break from the busy morning for folks to step away for a breath. Still I stood there with no one helping me. I just stepped away and left. I'll try again sometime to give a second chance.

Absolutely the best bagel shop I have ever been to. Their monthly specials never disappoint. The coffee drinks, oatmeal, and bagel sandwiches are all fantastic. If you are in Mankato, and you don't stop in, you have missed out.

Overheard the workers making fun of me after I asked kindly to remake a bagel, because they didn't listen to my request of what to make it without. I was kind and courteous, and honestly it was really really uncalled for. I really like Tandem, but this sort of behavior is juvenile and catty.
