Ahhh yes! Wagon wheel was my go-to breakfast spot. The place is quite the hit so it can be pretty busy. Other than that, the food and staff make the place what it is.....five stars! I will definitely be stopping for an amazing breakfast when I drive through Mankato.
This hole in the wall breakfast place will surprise you. Besides the usual fare, they had some interesting combos and dishes. Definitely a menu worth exploring. The staff was cheery and the kind of sweet waitresses you would expect. All that said...this is a cramped, hole in the wall cafe so set your expectations properly.
I'm sure we were there on a bad day. Restaurant was very busy and waitress was overwhelmed. Bus boy with the Ash hat should probably be let go. He was unhelpful, ignoring dirty tables and had to be told several times to do his job. He would have rather sat in the back chatting with the overwhelmed cook and drink soda. He was also very rude to a customer whose order wasn't right. Otherwise a quaint diner with friendly people. A lot of local patrons who knew where items...
