Took a long time to bring menus and water. Waitress apologized for the wait and said they had been real busy and did not have any clean glasses. She proceeded to tell is that they always run short staffed. She took our drink orders and came back and gave me the wrong drink. She came back with the correct one and said she had a party of 17 people and she would go back and get their orders and come back. She never asked us if we were ready to order (which we were) and she left. She eventually came back and got our order. Some people sat across from us and she was giving the same story about not having enough help. They seemed not very organized and having a employee complaining to the customers is not good for business. I have eaten here before and the food and service was good. This time was different because the food was not very good and the service was not good either.

Most importantly, they do a proper pour of Guiness. 2nd, very good service. Our server Melanie, her 1st day, was top notch. She was a bit sassy and a delight. Nicley done. Plus we teased another server about smiling more and she was game to play along. We saw the entire team contribute to serving the guests inside and outside. From the servers to the bartender and even kitchen staff. Team effort. 3rd the food was top notch. Great Irish fare. 4th the atmosphere was great. Inside reminded of those old crowded pubs in Ireland. Higly recommended.

We go to Mcgarry’s restaurant a lot to eat so they were a natural choice to help us cater a birthday party. James and his team helped us design a custom menu (which included some of our restaurant favorites too!) and the process was easy from start to finish! They dropped off the food before the party and picked everything up afterwards, making it easy to enjoy the party. All of our guests raved about the food!

Great Irish/American comfort food on the menu. Irish Rolls were great, Shepherd Pie, and Meatloaf all done so well.
Met Chef James at Twins game and made a special short 20 minute trip out from our downtown hotel. Food was worth the trip, staff was absolutely great and friendly. We brought our pup with us, plenty of outdoor sidewalk and patio seating, and a water dish provided. Will be back again.
