Amid all the justifiable criticism of the Catholic Church, Catholic Charities is really something to be proud of. They serve people dealing with poverty, addiction, mental and physical illness, including a LOT of veterans who can't or won't go to the VA. They provide shelter, food, health care, and an opportunity to get started on recovery. I can't say enough good things about Catholic Charities!

In my opinion, think that Catholic Charities can implement a program to homeless people who have a felony/felonies on their record which makes it difficult to be housed; especially if that person has the means to afford housing
