A week ago I bought 2 of what I thought were beeswax candles. I opened one when I got home excited to light it. Turns out they are blocks of beeswax for crafty people which I am not. I went back today to return the unopened one feeling in the Christmas spirit. The owner BARKED at me 'We don't take returns! and turned around and walked away. He was very rude and antisocial. I will NEVER go back and don't recommend it.

We discovered White Bear Meadery as a harvest host and had such a wonderful visit. They make all of their delicious mead right there on site. There’s surely a flavor for everyone. Staff is so friendly and welcoming. They have the cutest little gifts and love all the Viking decor and even props for your own fun photos!

I had my Husband's 30th surprise birthday party here, and it was a blast! They had a room to rent for only $50, which accommodated around 15-20 people. We brought our own cake and ordered pizzas. The service was awesome, and the mead was delicious. The bartender helped everyone pick out flavors we would like. The fan favorite was #13, made with blackberries! They had Viking hats and cloaks all around the meadery, which everyone was able to put on and take fun photos. They have small games at every table, which gives everyone something to do. I would highly recommend visiting, we will be coming back!!

Came in not knowing much but were greeted with a warm welcome. Not too many people in at the time. Kristicine (sp?) walked us through the menu and asked us our interests. Spent time answering our questions and directed us accordingly. Sat by the fire then went to the bar rail. A group came in and they were taken care of in the same demeanor and was very friendly.

Wonderful spot with fun decor and wonderful staff. The drinks and the food were delicious. Some folks even told us some viking stories from history, myths and legends. Definitely going to make the trip back here.

The staff was very pleasant and the food was good. As far trying to park an RV (32 ft) was a different matter. Parking was limited to a small parking lot and we ended up taking several spaces for their customers. We were told just find a place even if we had to park on the grass and rearrange when the establishment closes.

My wife, daughter and i visited for National Mead Day yesterday and it was our first time in White Bear Meadery's new space. The new location is SO gorgeous inside - its such a unique and inviting place to visit. There is a ton of room for groups, a load of really incredible merchandise, food and even a spot for kids to play. Our one-year old spent the entire time looking around wide-eyed and pointing at things - it was very cute.

My wife and I each got mead flights because we wanted to try a few different varieties. The price for the flights is pretty generous, honestly, and all of the meads we had were excellent. We have been to a few different meaderies and some meads can be overly sweet or on the other end of the spectrum taste astringent like rubbing alcohol, but every variety we had at white bear was very welp balanced and tasted exactly like the tasting notes the menu gave. Our favorites were the spiced epel, the ratatoskr, the Jul, and the Dragon's fire. The jul truly does taste like Christmas in a glass and I'm not sure I've ever had anything quite like it - we ended up buying a bottle. The dragon's fire is a mead with habanero and garlic hot dauce and it has a really great flavor and burn to it. I think I've gotten it every time I've been there.

We definitely recommend White Bear Meadery and we would go way more often if it werent kind of far away. I prefer it to most of the typical wineries I've been to, honestly.
