My wife, daughter and i visited for National Mead Day yesterday and it was our first time in White Bear Meadery's new space. The new location is SO gorgeous inside - its such a unique and inviting place to visit. There is a ton of room for groups, a load of really incredible merchandise, food and even a spot for kids to play. Our one-year old spent the entire time looking around wide-eyed and pointing at things - it was very cute.
My wife and I each got mead flights because we wanted to try a few different varieties. The price for the flights is pretty generous, honestly, and all of the meads we had were excellent. We have been to a few different meaderies and some meads can be overly sweet or on the other end of the spectrum taste astringent like rubbing alcohol, but every variety we had at white bear was very welp balanced and tasted exactly like the tasting notes the menu gave. Our favorites were the spiced epel, the ratatoskr, the Jul, and the Dragon's fire. The jul truly does taste like Christmas in a glass and I'm not sure I've ever had anything quite like it - we ended up buying a bottle. The dragon's fire is a mead with habanero and garlic hot dauce and it has a really great flavor and burn to it. I think I've gotten it every time I've been there.
We definitely recommend White Bear Meadery and we would go way more often if it werent kind of far away. I prefer it to most of the typical wineries I've been to, honestly.

This place was interesting. We had been looking for a winery & picked this place. We got a wine flight for about $20 & a $5 pretzel. The place was pretty steady with people coming & going. Big parking area with picnic tables with umbrellas in the grass. Interesting decor inside & some good photo ops!

Highly recommend checking this place out. Our kids made a total mess and we asked for broom to clean up but staff stated they would. Awesome area for kids to hang out!

I may be biased, but this place has had such a connection to me. I used to bring my pets to this building when it was a veterinarian hospital. And now it’s one of the best places to gather with friends. If you want a fun experience going out drinking in not an overstimulating environment, this place is amazing. Amazing games, Inclusivity, And openness to bring in our own activities and such. Yes, it may be pricey, But if you know mead (which isnt common now adays). This place is such a bang for your buck when it comes to trying so many unique flavors I would recommend this to anyone who wants to Try something different and fun. It’s definitely a hidden gem. And in a different location than Expected for a brewery, But definitely worth the “pillage”. this is one of the best experiences ive Ever been to. And honestly, it’s one of the best Places in Minnesota to get so many local Minnesota Products. Not just honey or mead, But the food and all. awesome place. Check it out. Please.

We love Wednesday night trivia, the pizza and the great mead! The staff are friendly and the whole place is a great vibe!
They also have a kiddo play zone which makes it great for parents wanting some grown up conversation without a babysitter

I have been to WBM many times with friends and family and it has always been a positive experience. Their Mead is sublime, and their atmosphere warm and welcoming.
Customer service was spectacular. Was my first time and they walked me through it with patience. It’s definitely a cool place to hang out. I just don’t like the taste compared to other mead I have had.
