Agave has the best service and the kindest servers. My family always leaves feeling so welcome and well taken care of. Portion sizes are large, your drink will always be refilled, and the food tastes amazing. They go above and beyond every time and we greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

A very typical Minnesotan-Mexican place. All the typical dishes at good prices. For some reason they temporarily can’t sell alcohol.

I'm very disappointed with our visit this time.. we've been in here before and been very pleased but today wasn't one of them. The service was poor to say the least..server barely got our drink order correct after I said it multiple times..I ask "coke or pepsi products" he kept thinking I wanted pepsi.. my son and I said " we both want street tacos, elpastor with Verde salsa" he brought one for us to share.. so I waited for my second order to show up..the walls seemed empty.. just didn't seem up to what it use to be.. disappointing

This used to be our favorite place. The last few times the service is not good and the music is WAY too loud, we couldn’t even hear each other talking. We went in the other day and the door had a sign that said they can’t sell liquor which was fine because it was only 12:15. They supposedly opened at 11:30 but we stood by the door for over 10 minutes and no one came to help us. I walked over by the bar area and to the other side and there was no one. I tried yelling hello but the music was so loud no one could’ve heard me anyway. We waited a few more minutes and finally left. There were 2 cars arriving in the parking lot and we told them not to bother going in because no one was there to help. They lost several customers that day and we won’t be going back.
Messed up order. Chicken and steak tasted like fish and had 5 different people walk by and not one ever stopped and asked if anyone wanted a refill until they were bring food out.

This WAS our go-to Mexican restaurant. The staff WAS awesome. Something has changed in the last few months. We do not recognize any of the staff; service has gone downhill. Our last 3 visits recapped: 1 month ago we went for lunch, they were out of salsa. 2 weeks ago we went for dinner, they were out of jalapeños. 1 week ago we went for dinner, the food was different, the refried beans were dark and burnt tasting.

Agave in Mayer used to be our fav restaurant! I don't know what is happening! They can no longer serve alcohol. No Margaritas!? WT#? We stopped by 2 times in last week and they were closed early. They are not answering the phone for takeout!! We are super sad. Something is going on with the owner.
Was given the wrong takeout, went back to get the right order. They voided the first order cuz it was $10 cheaper than my order, recharged me for mine. Got home and that order was wrong too. I called them and they said they would issue a refund and void the order. I was told twice that was going to happen and now they aren’t communicating with me anymore.
