“I used come down here a lot when i was younger, mom mom still lives close by. Now im older i dont have much of a desire to leave my house. Anyway, had awesome food, bartender was always nice and accommodating. My mom loves pull tabs and she liked hanging out to talk with Junior, in my opinion, the best bartender this part of the northland, he had fantastic stories to tell or a funny joke, all around seemed like a happy guy. Not sure if hes still around but i sure miss those days.”

“After a couple of bad experiences last year we did not want to go back to this Subway location. However, today we did go back after a long time and we are glad we did! Jocelyn and Trevor were not only welcoming, they both had a smile on their face, putting a lot of effort in assembling the sandwiches while making sure that I liked what they did. These 2 sandwich artists are the reason why we will be customers at this location again. Thank you! You did amazing!!! 5 stars ... keep it up!”

“Great spot for a quiet drink. Bartenders are great interactive people, and oddly they make some of the best pizzas. This is my favorite bar in the area! Drink prices are very reasonable as well.”

“Went to the Sandy Beaver tonight for dinner and drinks and had an incredible time. The drinks were Awesome (some Old Fashioneds, 7-7s and beer). For appetizers, we had the chicken wings, which were HUGE, had a lot of meat on the bones and the bourbon sauce was excellent. For dinner we had Bourbon and Bacon burger which was also excellent. All in all, a great dinner for the 4 of us and even got to spend some time talking with the owner Jim, who was very friendly and laid back. Will be back soon, as it was worth the drive up from Mille Lacs and the standard restaurants we eat at there. HIGHLY Recommend!”
