“This is a great place! We stop here whenever we are passing through Moose Lake and have never been less than impressed with the food and service. The gift shop has a variety of gifts and things for the home or cabin as well as some art for sale. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We will definitely keep up our tradition of stopping here!Parking: There is parking all around the restaurant.”

“Unique north woods brewery that outdoes the north woods feel better than breweries that are further north. This is more of a locals bar than a tourist brewery. 3 minutes off the interstate, located on the lake makes this an easy stop if you’re traveling through the area. I had the mango blonde and enjoyed it just fine, I will try the flight next time as I will stop here again.”

“We wanted to go bowling but there were birthday parties going on. It looked like everyone was having a blast! Very nice lanes and set up. We decided to eat lunch. I had chicken strips and fries. Amazing! I'm very picky with my chicken strips because I hate the ones that are all breading. These were perfect! Really good barbecue sauce too. French fries were really good. Not greasy at all. My boyfriend had a BLT and fries. He said it was good. He liked the bacon. Only thing that could have been better is the tomato. Kind of hard to do when they're not in season. Service was awesome! We'd definitely go there again.Parking: Huge parking lot!Kid-friendliness: Great place for a family night out bowling and dinner!”

“I stopped at Mcdonald’s with my two grandsons, because I needed a break to feed them and change them. My experience at this Mcdonald’s made me very happy and was the best Mcdonald’s I’ve ever been at. One of the workers opened the door for me when I had two kids in my hands, and Lily took my order and checked up on me multiple times. Also, they gave the kids two beautiful maracas, which they were happy with, and made my meal peaceful. The owner was also in, and she was wonderful. Thanks Moose Lake Mcdonald’s!”

“It's a Caribou in a grocery store. The coffee is familiar, and the staff is friendly. The location is acceptable. The food is just as expensive as at any other Caribou.”

“6/4/23, went to the Moose Lake Dairy Queen for lunch and it was quite busy. What looked like the manager(dark haired lady) on duty was very busy with things. She handled a rush of customers and challenging young employees with grace and a smile. Wonderful to witness.”

“I'm visiting my friend in the woods and we decided we needed a rage beer this Friday the 13th. She never been to this place so we said hey let's give it a try. We wanted to make a great impression to the local community so I backed the car in the parking space so they don't think we are #%*#%s. Well we sat there for a few minutes asking ourselves if we are really going to go inside ? Yes we need that rage beer. Walk we did through two front doors in a row and all these men were sitting at the bar and they turn to look at us so we immediately turn away and go pretend to stand around at a table because we have a problem where we don't know how to act normal. Then I go order the champagne of beers and also 20 pill tabs. Awesome. Well we thought we might win big but actually we just won $4 but I wanted to tip the bar tender. So I brought our pull tab earnings to the bar and said you can just cash in those $4 to yourself sir. He gave me a strange look and chuckled and I wasn't sure if he was happy or if he was also having a rage day ? But he said ok...? Do you want another beer? But unfortunately we had other places to rage today so we just had the one each. I noticed someone had a table reserved for 6:15 so maybe this place itself turns into a rage vibe on a Friday night. Not sure because all this was at like 3:30pm. Anyway thanks Ron. Enjoyed my beer and my winnings”

“We just ate here Sunday, November 5th, 2023. We stopped in on our way back from Split Rock to the Twin Cities. Every year we have a dilemma of where to eat and just happened to take the Willow River exit. We found this little gem of a restaurant in the back of the gas station out front. We had the patty melt with coffee. Our waitress was attentive and kind. The price was incredible! It was under $14 for 2 patty melts and 2 coffees. We will definitely stop here next year!”

“TL;DR - Cozy and quick stop right off of I35 that has a lot going for it, but a sub-par burger brought down my experience. Would give it another try but probably wouldn't get a burger again.This Was Weird:They add a "voluntary service fee" that is basically a 12% tip to get shared amongst the staff, which I'm totally OK with, and added more on top of that for my server. But in looking at the bill there's no way to automatically not include this fee, nor are there any instructions on what to do if you want to increase/reduce the fee so this "voluntary" fee definitely feels more "mandatory", though it's possible one could just simply ask to have it removed.General Experience:- quick friendly service; was seated immediately and got my order taken within 5 minutes of entering the building.- cozy environment, very welcoming, very clean, and number little gift shop- Food took about 15min to arrive; totally reasonable.Food Experience:- I got the Brunch Burger with cranberry coleslaw as a side.- coleslaw was excellent; not too saucy, and cranberries added a nice flavor.- Also came with a side of house-made... pickles? Pickled zucchini? I wasn't sure exactly but as someone who doesn't like pickles I still found it pretty good!- Burger was overall 'OK': Bun was very good and homemade, toppings were done nicely with the bacon being crisp, onions were nicely caramelized, good egg and cheese, etc. Really the burger was only held back by the patty being WAY overdone. The patty was super dry; all of it's juice and flavor had been cooked out and it really only served to detract (significantly) from the rest of the flavors. It's unfortunate, because so much care was put into everything else on my plate, but the burger patty itself was, frankly, a waste of good beef.”

The hash browns where golden brown with a good amount of crisp. There French toast was also mouth watering. I would recommend Peggy Sue’s Cafe to everyone! “The staff was great. The food could have been better, but was not bad overall. This is probably the most “downer” review I will ever give as I don’t usually leave reviews if they are not 5 stars, but I should mention my pizza was great so that was neat. My companion did not appreciate his sandwich in the least. That being said, the place is great, and the staff is super friendly, so kudos on that!”

“Stopped through cause I was in town for my grandpas funeral, a local bought me an my entire family a round, the bartenders were friggen AMAZING. Definitely will make this a stop when I’m passing through good ole Willow River. Can never beat a small town vibe.”
