We just ate here Sunday, November 5th, 2023. We stopped in on our way back from Split Rock to the Twin Cities. Every year we have a dilemma of where to eat and just happened to take the Willow River exit. We found this little gem of a restaurant in the back of the gas station out front. We had the patty melt with coffee. Our waitress was attentive and kind. The price was incredible! It was under $14 for 2 patty melts and 2 coffees. We will definitely stop here next year!
Food was amazing and the restaurant was very clean. We had the eggs benedict breakfast bowl and it was the best breakfast I've had in a long time at a restaurant. I highly recommend Dave's Cafe
An absolute gem of a cafe. Stopped in to use restroom on the way to friends cabin. The smell of the cafe caught me walking through the store. We all decided to give it a try. Couldn’t be happier we found it. Double bacon cheeseburger w/ French fries for under $10…..

Dave's Cafe offers a very good breakfast value, highlighted by a spectacular ham and cheese omelet at reasonable prices. Situated in a truck stop atmosphere, this hidden gem serves delicious food like the patty melt with coffee. The restaurant also features great southern style cooking at crazy low prices. The service is attentive, cheerful, and efficient, although sometimes a bit slow due to a lack of workers wanting to work. Customers appreciate the option of 1/2 portions for a few dollars less. This well-kept secret in Pine County has truck parking and is worth a visit for great food and service. With everything from giant, plate-sized pancakes to the mushroom Swiss burger, there is always something tasty to enjoy.
