Stopped into the Outpost for a bite on a Sunday after a morning of fishing, and had a somewhat mixed experience. On the positive side, the food was good for bar food, and was served hot and fresh. There wasn't a huge crowd, and our food was ready quickly, which was nice. The burgers were good - we enjoyed the Bonus Burger and the Mushroom Swiss (mostly for the breaded mushrooms included) quite a bit. The patties were cooked well but could have used a little more seasoning...
It was wonderful going to The Outpost! I'm an adult but I get the kid's chicken tenders and waffle fries everytime because one: they are delicious and two: they are super cheap for being good quality!
Fun place to stop and grab some bar grub and a beer. I enjoy stopping here while snowmobiling because it's just off the trail managed by the Nevis Trail Blazzers. Nothing beats a day of riding and grabbing a bite to eat and cold brews. If you're in the Menahga / Park Rapids area stop by and get a cold one.
